I think it at least hope they have true RNGs. My point was to emphasize the downgrading of pay tables Nationwide. That alone preys on the less sophisticated gamblers. Totally legal of course.

You have a little "Florida Phil" in you.

As a matter of fact, I borrow his phrase all the time. In Video Poker, anything can and will happen! 🤒 Hope he and his Mrs are OK. Both very nice people. Came up to Mohegan a couple of times.

As we speak,Bizarro World/ Mohegan Sun is downgrading 3 of my favorite 99 percent games.
To my way of thinking, downgrades are consistent with fair machines. If they have the ability to cheat, why would they downgrade?
You make an excellent point for pondering.

We have 100+ machine with full pay JOB, some NSUD, and some 99.96% DDB. Hmmmm?

Those are above average games, although they did take other measures iirc. They backed off some APs, and cut the earn rate for vp in relation to reels. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I've never played there.

In the aggregate, nationwide, paytables are worse than I would expect if cheat switches were widely available. Some unscrupulous casino could put out a rigged 102 or 103% schedule and at least initially, customers would be lining up to play it. But I never hear of anything like that.

Very true dinghy, they banned several AP's, and a host of others thought to be multiple players on same card to pick off drawings.

Also point earn rate for VP went to 1/4 of slotees. $2 coin-in/point for VP and 2 points/$1 coin-in for slots. So very good weekly drawings based on points are harder to hit for VP players, and points required to hold top card doubled

Hopeful signs though that they may be hurting. Hosts sending out offers of comps by e-mail. Never did that before. Also free cruise offer for first time in 4-5 years.

Well after my little conversation with the techs doing the installations ( gave them one of my spare cars to give to their boss ) and to my great surprise they reset the pay tables back to the way they were. 9/6 JOB. I will probably never see that happen again. I played one of them today with no luck, but at least they know how to play them regularly. These are brand new bar machines. I didn’t catch the meat but they have the curved glass making it a bit easier to play and they also have bigger numbers and bigger lettering.

Old's they sound like the same new gen. bar machines starting to replace ours. Play nicely, great buttons, easy to see , which might help accuracy, but jury still out on friendliness. Had an 8K and a 2k royal but they have been there about 6 months that's not super. At least my 9/6 JOB still there. Nothing else playable on them.

These new machines I have not played much , what little I have don't care from them much. Just a few days ago I was playing one on 9/6 JOB $2 denom after hitting a four of a kind the next 10 hands dead got 5 coins back on 11th hand. This is what I see all the time on the newer machines. A whole lot of dead hands before and after a nice hit. Still prefer the older machines.

Here is one method for non-random results (see IGT patent below). A self-regulated casino could migrate this from tournament software into the field.
