Thanks Shadowman!  You can download the XLS file here for better formatting and no lost color coding.Man, this Quick Quads is getting to me.  I don't know if I'll ever build my speed back up with Single Line normal VP.  I've been struggling while playing DDB and DB because of the automatic search for the Quick Quad combinations!Maybe there needs to be a Single Line Version of that game.  I might seriously consider plugging some coin into  one of those machines!

Here's a summation of the expected returns I've computed so far:

DDB - 99.16
DB - 99.14
BP - 99.30
JoB - 99.41    (and what is it with quads paying a non-multiple of 5 - 236?)

Please remember, these numbers have been produced rather quickly and could be a little off.

236... hit that on 5 hands and it is 1180. Does that mean anything? Could have been 239 to stay below 1200.

I don't know about any of that today Eduardo.  The deck is frozen this morning for me.  I stopped playing when I got to within 10 credits of FAYGO <LOL>  Coldest day I've had with Quick Quads and my single line play is no better.  I think the VP guardians are telling me that I need to work today rather than do "Beta Testing"!

I got some for-real play in yesterday and was noticing those QQ combinations, including one dealt hand that had me thinking "could have used that one on QQ!".  I don't think it affected my speed.  I think a single line version would be nice, both here and on real multi-game machines.  I'll be interested in seeing what my favorite casinos do to the paytables.

Not for me.  It locked up and never game me any credits. So, if you see my score be sure to add in that 1180.

I found the cycle time for quads on the JOB version to be 166 hands. This means every single credit they change the quad return changes the payback by .12%. So, going to 239 would increase the payback to 99.77 ... sounds good to me!

I don't think I've ever seen a multiline machine with paytables adjusted so that a dealt nice hit would keep the total pay under $1,200...but maybe someone else has.

Any way to know the expected return if you played a normal DDB strategy and just happened to hit a quick quad now and then without ever trying?  Like if someone found themselves on one of these machines and didn't realize?

It would be possible to compute this but not with my current program. I know that FVP (and WVP) both allow switching strategies as one of their capabilities.

I'm not aware if VPfW does this, but if it did and QQ games were added (I assume someone is working on this), then you could modify the standard strategy and determine the payback.

I could modify my program but I've got many other things going right now so I don't think I'd get to it in the near future.
