At Bally’s, at least before the ownership change, it was the reverse. Ten coin JOB for max RF and five on all other games on the bank.

I used to play this wild grizzly game at the Sands in AC. Played it every week, and it was one cent, two cents, or a nickel.
I sit down one week, throw a hundred dollar bill in, hit the middle credit button, max coin and have two losing spins. Hit the button for the third spin and am told to add more coins. I look and the machine is now 25cent, 50 cent, dollar. Max coin was 72 coins and to my chagrin, I was playing $36 a spin instead of $1.44. My hours budget was blown on three spins. When I called over an attendant to complain, he said he's been hearing it all week.
Maybe the casinos want to protect us.

Ten coin JOB for getting paid the correct amount for the Royal is another trick some casinos use. They don’t pay 4,000 for bet 5. Mohegan Sun doesn’t do this. At least not as of now. I don’t think Foxwoods does either, but I haven’t been there since covid hit. We have to be like Eagle 🦅 eye at the casino. Don’t just sit down and throw in your 100 dollar bill. Study the paytables first. Even Mohegan Sun is famous for every other machine being 8/5 instead of 9/6. In the high roller section, you have to be extra careful. Don’t assume 9/6. Many are 8/5. At least on Joker Kings which I know is under 99 percent, many of the quarter games pay 4700 instead of 4000 for the Royal.

HL room is Scam City. Too many underwhelming pay table land mines for carefree players. At least Harrah’s Cove somewhat maintains their floor tables. It’s actually playable once I survived the initial massive loss and fully rebounded.

My last two sessions this weekend were negative. Mostly my fault. I tried to speed up the Clone and shouldn’t have the first session and busted.
Last night, I did hit five of a kind on joker kings with a high bet of 24 quarters because that is where the clone took me. Instead of quitting with a $100 profit, I try to make up for the prior session and gave 600 back. I called it quits. Another never ending lesson in discipline failure.

Twin fiascos. Once a big fat premium hand actually appears to put you even, or with a triple digit profit in your case, it’s a signal to quit. I was jumping and fist pumping yesterday and retired to the HL room, the forbidden play zone, for a cocktail in piece. Frangelico hazelnut liqueur was my reward after surviving the ice cold quarter progressive bank and an ATM run.

I know what happens on the sessions when I think that the quads will somehow keep coming in like clockwork. A massive bust. The sports book was my reason for the trip, so that was my next stop.

The lesson earlier is to quit while ahead. Here it is to leave when behind. So many bad outcomes on casino trips. Fixing a problem which doesn’t exist. Making a problem exponentially worse. We will fall into one of those wells on most trips.

I’m up at Mohegan tonite with the Mrs. Nice to start with 110 in free play. Just having dinner now. I’m determined to keep control this trip and stick to my own rules keeping discipline in order.
