Hands & Sessions: Are They Individual Events Or Not?
Law of Large Numbers = lln
Is this what the 5th card flip morphed into? Is it no longer relevant?
Has the death of MJ blown his mind? Could be, just look at a photograph of each of them side by side.
All these questions answered on my blog next week.

Oej, I see you got the latest newsletter. I thought it was extremely funny for someone to display such complete ignorance and almost brag about it. I got a lot of good chuckles though.

I do not get it myself shadow. I get it from a friend in Florida the sells pianos, I will call him Joe. (Not his real name).
It should be titled "Statisticulation" or better known as statistical manipulation.

I was waiting to see if someone was going to mention the latest e-letter.
What had me scratching my head were his statements about hands being individual events, completely independent of previous hands and having no influence on subsequent hands. That's all quite true, but those statements completely invalidate everything he said last year about patterns, which was his Big Kahuna attention-getter. In fact, the language he used is virtually identical to that in the section of our CO regs pertaining to randomness.
I think going forward we can spend less time on any new theories of his that come out. If we don't like them, we can just wait a few months and he'll change his mind on his own.
Oej, what's the word in the slam on the demise of MJ? And let's not forget Farrah, either.

Personally I says the boy got on someones last nerve and they put the brakes on him. Ya hear what I's saying.
You saying Farrah and MJ not the same people? Oh lordy.

CD, right on the money. That was part of what I found so humorous. He completely contradicted himself and then used that as evidence he has always been right. I'm beginning to think he may be losing it ... bigtime.
He then tries to use logic to equate short term and long term. Any person who has completed logic 101 could point out how ridiculous his argument was, but I'm sure it would go right over his head.
At least it was good for a few belly laughs.

I'm still scratching my head over it. Here's what he said in the recent e-letter:
We all agree and understand that no dealt hand is influenced by any that have come before or by any that have yet to come. They are all individual events.

It should be titled "Statisticulation" or better known as statistical manipulation. Wow Oej that is a big word for you. Since you are so knowledgeable about "The Truth" maybe you can explain how Joe is not my real name. It seems to me, if I'm not mistaken, that ever since I can remember everyone has called me Joe.I know what we can do....Let's try to prove your "hypothesis" and find out once and for all if I indeed am your Rob. Here is your big chance to really do something, as you might say,..."Scientifical".I will be flying in from Florida in July to celebrate my 40th birthday. I would love to meet you and let you teach me an even better way to play than Rob already has. Are you interested? You say that you know all about Rob and his "scams" and that you would love to meet up with anyone and tell them the real truth about him. OK count me in. I have met Rob and learned from him everything he promised (for FREE). Now I would like to meet you since you say that he is a liar and con artist and never does what he says. Maybe you can then shed some light on my confusion about Rob and how nice that he has been to everyone who meets with him except you. Here is your big chance Oej...win me over to your side!!!

RD, you've been given everything you need to know about the advantages and disadvantages of various methods of play. If you haven't figured it out already there's little hope you will figure it out on a short trip.

Joe,
I'll be in Vegas in July...and I'd specifically love to show anyone how a real video poker player plays...I'll be playing at The Palms in the high-limit room July 23rd-26th NSUD 5-play dollars. No special plays, no worrying about 5th card flip-overs, just brute-force perfect advantage play at a pace of $15,000/hr with an expected return of 99.73% plus players club points. Wanna sit next to me and play your way or "Rob's way" at this pace?
