hands per minute?
which is best way to time myself?
i manage to play 27 hands per 1 minute
if i multiply 60 minutes to 27 i reach 1620 hands per hour
is that a real average ball park number how fast i play?

Could you maintain 27 hands per minute for an hour? That's extremely fast, and, more importantly, can you play that fast and be accurate with your play decisions?
To answer your question, though, it would give you a more realistic number if you time yourself for an entire hour, rather than extrapolating from a shorter time period.

I play 1000 to 1200 per hour. I think 1600 is way over the top and no chance of being getting accurate holds.
Steve have you used software to time yourself for an hour? This software will time you and show any mistakes you made. This would be the best way to see how good your play is.

Anywhere from 600 to 800 an hour works for me. Any more and I miss the button failure holds or sometimes a small pair located at both ends of the hand. Also some straits like 8. 9. 10. J. Are easy to miss if you play too fast
