Video Poker Super Learning
If you missed our segment introducing Super Learning for Video Poker this last Thursday on May 5th it is now posted at: https://www.progressivevp.com/radio_show.php under the May 5th notes section along with the show.To download go to my radio show page and click on the links. It's a zip file and all the documents are in pdf format after you unzip them. This training method is targeted at people that don't have photographic memories and have a little trouble remembering different strategies. In the next few weeks we will be posting several strategies in both the Team system and Bob's nomenclature. This one is designed to give you a starting place. It is also an example of a generated strategy done in the upcoming OpVP version 3 soon to be released. The reason for this rush of new strategies Bob and I will be offering is a brand new progressive we will be announcing this Thursday on our show.Cheers all,~FK

CORRECTION
Mr. Eagle eye Bob Dancer caught a clerical error in the strategy I posted.
Line #17 which reads OpST 1pc
It should read: OpST 1-2pc
It includes the holds QJT9 off & JT98 off

What's meant by a "new progressive" if you don't mind please?

What's meant by a "new progressive" if you don't mind please?I was going to be funny and reply, "by that I meant 'new progressive'".I'm assuming you know what the word "new" means, so I guess you don't know what a progressive is? A jackpot that rises on coin-in until someone hits it and it rests to it's lowest setting. Is that correct or were you asking what it is and where it will be?If so, you'll have to wait until Thursday when we announce it on air. It's going to be a big deal. Fastest thing in 20-years in Vegas.~FK

I wasn't sure if it was a new style of progressive coming out, or if it was just another progressive somewhere that you believe is a good play or maybe the best you've seen in years because of how fast the meter runs.

Thank you, I read it. I've never been to the M and probably won't for a few months so good luck to those who go after it! I have a question on this statement, "He and I challenged ourselves to come up with a type of progressive that is good for the player and profitable for the house." I understand that you're excited about this because you can't wait to play it. But you mean there are no progressives today that are ever good for both the casino and the player? I'd tend to think that most of them are good for the casino without a doubt and the players who play them when the meters get high, well that's good for them too. Another question, if there's constant pros playing them and they're over 100% then how can the casino do this? I once a few years ago tried to play some +100% machines at dollars that were put in at Wynn and all the seats were taken 24/7. What's expected to be different about this? Thanks.

There's nothing like this out there now. It is a really new and good idea. I didn't come up with it, but I did see it for what is was and market it.

I once a few years ago tried to play some +100% machines at dollars that were put in at Wynn and all the seats were taken 24/7. What's expected to be different about this? The M is counting on people being unable to to play eight totally different strategies perfectly. Also there is a dynamic of correct progressive strategy increasing the houses edge, which is too complicated to explain here.In summary they are putting in machines which are 100%+ return and planning on making their money completely from errors. WOW!!! Hats off to them. This is exactly how it should be. The people willing to put out the effort make money and those less diligent don't. It may be one of the last remaining places in a casino where hard work is directly rewarded.I can't even believe that the M is being so logical and straight forward. Now reward them with your play. And if you aren't playing with an edge you have only yourself to blame.~FK

And if you aren't playing with an edge you have only yourself to blame.I think this statement says it all. It is very hard for me to believe that the machines won't be filled fulltime with pros who make very few mistakes. I think the fact that this is such a good play for the players will lead to its demise faster than expected. I hope they're still around when I try to visit in a few months. Didn't that resort fail miserably recently and get sold for pennies on the dollar?

Look it's bragging rights and an advertising dream. Think of it like a loss leader. Also, we insisted that they put plenty of machines in for everyone. You'll have 35 to choose from. And if you can learn 8 different hard strategies, you'll be able to get an edge whenever you visit. And I'll probably be there playing. Say hi! ~FK
