Nightmare Strategy!

Post by FloridaPhil »

I've been on a 3 month losing streak, so I worked up a new strategy to keep my loses to a minimum.  I should have quit playing VP all together, but came up with this stupid system in desperation.   I would play DDB .25 until I hit a 4K, then switch the denomination to 5 coin $1s and play the balance.  It worked on my PC at home.  Well wouldn't you know it, I hit a Royal playing .25 one coin the first day and another Royal plus 4AK on the second day.  I learned my lesson, I'll never ever play one coin again...   I'm over it now, but that was STUPID!

Pretty much any strategy will work at one time or another and fail to work at other times. That is randomness in action. The thinking that there is a method of play that overcomes randomness haunts many VP players. You are not alone.

In fact, you likely learned your lesson much quicker than many others. Hopefully, your losing streak will come to an end soon. Eventually all streaks, winning and losing, come to an end.

I wouldn't feel bad Floridaphil. Theres only one way to keep from losing and thats by not playing. We all lose more than we win and dont get confused by people who say they dont. one coin, two coins, five coins, you just never know. Go out and enjoy your time at the machines without making it a regular habit and even if you loose it wont haunt you then.

I'm over it now, but it taught me a good lesson.  VP is a long term loser and you pay to play.  You choose how much it costs...

So, you are claiming Frank Kneeland is being dishonest. It will be interesting to see Frank's response.

Its a general statement. Your trying to make it personal with Frank for who knows why and it isnt. Stop trying to make trouble when nobody else sees the need to do that here, so why be like that. No surprise why you arent liked on lva.

Yuo said, quite definitively: "We all lose more than we win".

I don't know why you would be surprised that someone not in that "we all" category, or who knows someone that is not,  would point out the wrongness of your general statement.

Heres why. I was trying to console floridaphil because we all know the general results for vp players are losing but we have a good time playing. I could have named a few names of famous people who say they win but I didnt because that was far away from the intent. Shadowman is known for being trouble on another forum and I dont know why but thats what he was trying to do here by bringing up a name. I dont know if "we all lose more than we win" is really correct any more than he knows if Frank wins. So it was best not to bring it up, and you could just as easily ripped into him for quite definitively saying that Frank wins.

Not trying to make trouble. Just applying what you said. If you didn't mean what you said then maybe you shouldn't have said it. It's really very simple. either we "all" lose or we don't.

What are you claiming now? We all lose except for those that don't.  I think that was pretty obvious from the beginning.
