Where do you play? I see that a couple of Florida casinos have 9/6 JOB at the dollar level. If they have a little CB or freeplay it's likely that you will lose less than quarter 7/5 BP. Of course, $300 is not much of a session bankroll so that could be a problem.
Another option would be to play $1 at a time. Yeah, I know, I know ... But, consider this. The return of single coin 9/6 JOB is around 98.4%. And, since less money is tied up in the RF you should lose money slower that your quarter game. The non-RF return is around 97.8% vs. 96% for your BP game.
Something to think about.

Cash back is non-existent in Florida, which is currently dominated by Indian casinos. We gain points that you can redeem for food, lodging, etc. Occasionally, you can redeem points for free play. I try to play on 10X point days and currently have more comp points than I can use. At the Tampa Hard Rock, 9/6 Jacks starts at $2 a point. I have found 9/6 dollar Jacks at the Hollywood Hard Rock on three play machines. I have the bankroll but not the stomach to play at that level. I do have quite a few days where I make my cash-in back early, so I get to play higher denominations frequently. All is good. I just needed to stop chasing the big score all the time. I suspect a lot of recreational players have this problem. The good news is playing video poker is not hurting me financially, so I play to get my money back and let the jackpots happen if they are going to.

WOW did not know the state of florida is allowing anyone to build casinos in their state. I thought only native american tribes could have casinos in the state. I learned something today.

The Florida Supreme Court ruled that slot machines could be put anywhere in the state, not only on Native American reservations. This was mostly in support of race tracks in the state. If nothing else changes, companies like Caesars and MGM Int'l will be reluctant to built full-blown casinos without the ability to offer table games.

Phil, please allow me to apologize for edog for his trying to start up again on the Indian casinos. I know you dont mean any disrespect, the same as those who write about the Washington Redskins mean no disrespect to anyone either. That said, Id stay away from those type of casinos. No one knows what they do to their machines.

The two main Indian Casinos in Florida are the Hard Rocks in Hollywood and Tampa. There are others in a few parimutuels in the south end of the state and a brand new casino in Indian Creek north of Ft. Lauderdale. The State made a five year deal with the Indians giving them exclusive rights to table games Etc. The deal will be up soon and there are a lot of big players who want to expand casino gambling big time. Disney and anti-gambling factions are working against this, but given the State's financial situation most think it's only a matter of time before casino gambling comes to Florida big time. The Indians are doing a decent job, but we need more competition. The pay tables stink, there are no free drinks and the video poker machines are poorly maintained. At this time, they are the only game in town.
