Strategy Confusion

Post by Natira »

I am looking at a strategy card with a piece I don't understand:

- In progressive 9/6 Jacks or Better, hold three to a progressive Royal when Royal is paying . . .

Now that line makes sense, but the next one is:

- In progressive 9/6 Jacks or Better, with Ace-Ten-any card combination, hold three to a progressive Royal when Royal is paying . . .

Can anyone tell me what the phrase "with Ace-Ten-any card combination" means?

Thanks for your help!

I would assume it's talking about RF3 AHT.  Meaning Suited AT with a suited K, Q or J.  It's less valuable than, say, suited KQJ.  Still three to a royal but fewer high cards and fewer straight and straight flush possibilities.

Quad deuces is exactly right. For example in 10/6 ddb if you have a four flush with three to the royal you draw for the royal except if it's an ace/ten combination then you hold the four flush.
