A less boring way to play 9/6 job

This will be a little difficult to explain, but I will try. I have been using this off and on for a couple of months and it works pretty well. It is kind of like Martingale, but much toned down. It will only work on low volatility games like job. I don't know about long term, but so far so good for me. It will also only work on games that allow you to bet 25 or more units at a time. Mohegan lets you do this on most of their machines.
     Start by betting 5 coins in case you get a Royal. Keep track of your net wins and losses. For example, when you have lost 25 coins, you have lost a net of 5 times. I call it 5 squares.
     When that happens, you start betting 6 units. Say you bet 6 units or coins and you lost, lost, then win by getting a straight. Well, you won 4 ( I call them squares) but have already lost 2 squares so you have a net win of 2 squares. In that case, my next bet would be 5 coins, but it would be at the 4th square level at 5 meaning that you had already lost a net on 3 squares at the bet 5 level.
     Say you after playing a while and had a net loss of 5 squares at the bet 5 level, 6 squares at the bet 6 level, 7 squares at the bet 7 level, and now are proceeding to bet 8 coins for the first time.
     OK, you next bet is 8 coins and 8 is assigned 8 squares. You lose at the first bet of 8, lose at the second bet of 8, lose at the 3rd bet at 8, then on the 4th bet at 8, you get a full house. Now you do the easy math in your head or on a chart if you need to. I do it in my head. My full house paid 9 squares. I had already lost 3 times betting 8 or in my mind 3 squares. That means I netted 6 squares to take into count for my next bet. My prior bets before going to 8 were at the bet 7 level. I had already had a net loss of 7 squares at the bet 7 level. 7 minus my net gain of 6 squares at the bet 8 level means my next bet will be bet 7 coins at the 2nd square level of bet 7.
     I'm sure I have pretty much confused everyone by now. Anyway, if you get something good at the higher betting level, it offsets all or most of the prior losses at the lower levels. If you should get all the way to bet 25 which is rare, I usually quit at least on that machine. I will try to answer questions if there are any. Like I said before in another post, sometimes my world is Bizarro world, but at least I don't get bored anymore playing job. , I should have also said that anytime I exceed my original starting units say 400 quarters for a hundred dollar bill, I return to bet 5. This part is optional, but I do it so as to keep my bets from going into the teens most of the time.

I have played a lot of "plain jane" 9/6 JOB, and I have never found it particularly boring. However, almost all of that play has been multiline, and to me, at least, multiline is exponentially more exciting than single line.

I also like playing multi-line 9/6 JOB. And usually those type of machines have BP, DDB, and DW as well. So if you get in a rut with one game you can switch to something else.

     Don't know if you remember this Billy, there was the one time when the clubs got out and I had 4 of them hanging on me while I attempted to show them how to play vp. That was fun for a few minutes. Never mind the fact that it was little black dress night at the club. I guess they got just as bored with me as I do playing standard job vp, so they wandered or staggered off toward another bar that was still open. Just as well as the Mrs. was in the vicinity. I could have tried to explain, but Miss Bobbit comes to mind.

For that matter, playing five or ten line, any dealt hand is a real boost to your bankroll.

Yeah, back in the day (1993-94) before the proliferation of Video Poker and all its variants, JOB was basically IT....of course, back then we had the benefit of some great paytables, like 10/7 JOB and the like!  But hitting a Royal was really the only time you had a chance or a reason to do a victory dance.......oh sure, the occasional Straight FLUSH (250) came along and was a nice BUMP that beat hitting quads, but I actually found straight flushes to be just about as rare as Royal Flushes (mainly due to the fact you were NOT "aiming" for the straight flush target nearly as often as you were the Royal Flush target with all the various card holds during the whole deal/draw process.
