Dealt Royal?
I recently got a royal flush. My question is If you are dealt a royal does the machine automatically go into jackpot mode? My machine did, so I wasn't sure if I was dealt the royal or if I had dumped all 5 cards and got the royal on the redraw.

If a royal is under 1200 dollars usually nothing happens on most machines. It just treats it like another win and does not lock up. Over 1200 and usually it is a hand pay and a you get a W-2G. It varies from casino to casino but that is the general way it is handled.

When I was dealt a Royal, the machine didn't lock and pay but it automatically held all five cards. Some machines probably don't do this.

All of our dealt RF have locked up even those under $1200 if dealt. Which I'm glad of since my first multi-hand was around 3 AM and I was half asleep. I looked at the screen and said to myself, "i hold all of these" not even realizing it was a RF. Thank goodness it was an auto-lock.

My dealt royal was auto-held and was only $240.

I had my first dealt royal earlier this year for $2,000. The machine didn't lock up.

Since you were playing on the Deuces and Joker Wild machines you like to play, I wouldn't expect it to lock up either. You could be a blithering idiot and toss the Royal to go for Five Wilds and a bigger payout...
Generally speaking, I think all IGT machines lock up IF you are dealt the top win ONLY.

I have been dealt 3 royals so far in my lifetime and they have all auto held. I don't know, but I guess I could have thrown the hand away if I had unselected the cards. Yikes!

Dealt Royal??? What the heck is that. I haven't even had one of those while playing the games on this website, let alone in real life.
