I'm surprised that nobody mentioned that ST is converting their slot club into the Coast's club. Apparently, your points will be good at ST and Coast properties.

Bigboy, I've heard rumors to this effect but nothing definite. Where did you get this info?

Shadowman: I'm curious whats your opinion on "Terribles" on Flamingo rd? I've had relatively decent luck there and for some no budget player like me, the players club treats me pretty nice. If I spent like Dancer or her Frugalness, I'd have comped F,R,B all calendar year! Tuscany is adjacent yet I've never had the inkling to visit.

Don't forget Terrible's land at state line and Cally!  I am not possitive but it seems that Terribles now owns all three casinos at stateline.  As before, the three properties have one slot club.  The gaming is average but they have cool mercandise.  They also make it easy to fill up with your points which is nice.

clwn2,

I know Sam's is a big place but they do have what you're looking for. They have 12 quarter 9/6 DDB progressives and 5 10/6 DDB quarter machines all located near the arcade/movie theaters.

Sorry Shadow, just venting.  I figured that we might have missed an area or two in Sams but it did seem that the machines had mostly bad schedules. BY the time we got around the area we were at we had lost our stake and seen very few good schedules.  We did, however, see one of the 9/6 progressives that you were referring too.  I found that quite novel to find such a good schedule on a progressive.  It was busy too. I am not so concerned with finding 10/6 as I am with 9/6 because the former are usually far and few between.  9/6DDB is acceptable to me because of the inherent variance of this game and the fact I play only in the very short term.  Basically with this game I feel luck is the most important factor.  In recent years I have limited myself to better schedules because I have too much experience and knowledge to allow myself to play the really bad ones.   I like to judge a casino on their total inventory because I move around a lot.  If a casino only has a few of the machines that I like to play then I cannot count on some of them being open.

A couple of questions from your segment on ST.  First, was that 12 9/6 progressives or one progressive with 12 9/6 machines?  Second, is ST still two levels?  I think that we explored the whole casino on the Atrium ground level.   Lastly, when you refer to cashback, is it really that much better than Fiesta?  I am a quarter player that does not live locally and have always payed more attention to comps such as room comps and food comps because of my level of play.  Am I missing something that I should be paying more attention too?
Thanks again

I've never been to Terribles because I've had enough other plays to keep me busy. From recent postings on VPFree it appears Terribles has been downgrading their inventory, but I have no personal knowledge.

I believe all 12 9/6 machines are tied to the single set of progressives. As for cashback (CB), ST has it, Stations (Fiesta) has none. However, if you are interested in comps then you can use STs points for comps (or turn it into money). Stations points can only be used for comps. Both casinos do give out discretionary comps. However, since I'm a local I don't have much use for this.

ST is still two levels. You will find many 10/7 DB and some other games that are not found everywhere.

Thanks Shadow,
Your info has always been correct.  I knew I should have been more thorough at Sam's.  We had a pisser of a trip to Vegas.  Even though I had some really good runs the wifey had pretty close to bupkis unless a couple of quads on one machine during a four day trip qualifies as something. We ended up on our final day losing a fairly new digital camera.  I wanted to bring it along to take some pictures but I had to take the hoodie on and off a few times.  Being that it was hung over my shoulder in a case I must of set the darn thing down and not picked it up or it got lifted.  In either case or it does not matter.

I am used to middle of the road luck. I hit some big hands occasionally but not frequently.  Therefore, when I am hitting the hands I usually end up somewhere close to even or ahead.  This time that was not the case.  It sounds like Mike A. would of loved to have my luck so I should stop pissing and moaning.  Gotta laugh though, this is just another case of dealing with the ups and downs of VP.
