If you want to be pampered, the Wynn/Encore is the place to be.

For a central strip, moderately priced option, I would suggest checking out the newly remodeled Jubilee rooms at Bally's. Not luxury by any means, but very functional and nicely updated. Many have nice view of the Eiffel Tower at Paris next door.As some others have mentioned, the Bally's/Paris hotel connection is nice, and you are a 5 minute walk to Planet Hollywood (and mall), Caesars (and mall), and the new LINQ complex being completed near Flamingo.

Mirage has always been my favorite. Great restaurants and my host has always taken great care of me!

I miss Kokomos, though.

I decide more by the video poker than anything else. If you play there you could get comped the room. Also, I don't spend much time in the room, just to sleep. I am out and about. So a great room is overrated.

We like staying off strip. If you are looking for good VP it is not there. Boulder highway has much better choices. Foe staying I recommend SamsTown, nice rooms, reasonable.

I like the Palace Station. But I don't think that it would fit your needs. It is off The Strip, but does have a bit of a shuttle service.

Stay at Aria in the city center. It is in the middle of the strip and the tram runs free between several casinos.
