Shadowman: Thanks for all your input and feedback. It's nice to hear things from a locals perspective. (I'm assuming you live somewhere in Clark Co.)

Offically, I live in Henderson. I'm between GVR and South Point.
I usually shack out at my brother-in-laws place in Henderson(Pecos and Wigwam) unless I get a comped room someplace which isn't often. Bowling sweepstakes in Vegas twice a year and casual trips 1-3 times a year. Maybe you could influence Eduardo to leave a couple of RF's available for me too!

You bowl the high rollers? Mini-elims? Or, something else? I haven't bowled in almost a year because of a bad knee.

I bowl in a Vegas league and a traveling league. Both of them obviously sweep in LV.

Apparently,JM002546 doesn't pay much attention to some of the housing tracts along St. Rose pkwy.
BTW, can you give some overview of the VP in Pahrump?

Never been to Pahrump, but from what I've heard there's not much there.

I used to bowl a little at South Point in the early mornng when I was attempting to find a solution to my knee problems. It turns out I can bowl OK after my leg muscles warm up sufficiently to provide enough strength to compensate for the knee problem. Unfortunately, this can take a half hour or more which means my form sucks and my bowling sucks during this warm up. I finally gave up last spring.

Yup, I use the toes on my one good leg.

It's kind of an interesting problem (ACL). I can do some sports with no problems but not others. I've considered switching to bowl left handed. Could probably manage a 200 average after a year or so, maybe someday when I quit the snowbird routine.

A number of years ago I developed Carpel Tunnel in my right wrist. As you know that is the end of bowling. Since it was not half way through the season, the PBA rules allowed me to switch to left hand. A fellow league member gave me an old ball of his, had it redrilled and started falling all over myself getting my feet tangled up. Brain had a hard time starting on the opposite foot. Long and short of it over the rest of the season and the next, I went from a 160 AVG to 200+.
Bowling left handed is an almost natural for putting the ball in the pocket with little or no physical effort.

My hero(Old folks will remember him) Earl Anthony.

By all means switch. It is a good way to win the most improved bowler awards.($).
