Again, I don't think the old slant tops at the Borgata, some of which still have 9/6 JOB have changed one bit and they have been there from the beginning, I think. Have tried the 9/5 SDB numerous times on the server based Game Kings and sometimes see $400-$500 dollars go quickly without a 4 OAK at the .50 level. Not saying they are gaffed, but something seems different.
Have you ever compared playing 9/6 JOB on the old slant top vs the server based?
Because of the higher variance of SDB vs JOB, comparing 2 completely different games could be 1 of the issues?
Plus, any game with "Super" in the name = variance, which = $ goes away real fast without any 4oaks.My last trip to the casino I played SDDB with no 4 oaks, so I feel your pain!

DJ, Yeah, I understand the significant difference in variance between the 2 games. Unfortunately, the JOB paytables on the server based Game Kings have been downgraded from 9/6 to 8/5 so I don't have the appetite to try that experiment, otherwise it would be worthwhile to try that. It's more than the variance, something seems off with the new technology. All I'm saying is that if I'm going to play, I'll stick with the older slant tops for now even though they don't have the seemingly attractive 9/5 99.69% SDB game that the new game kings have.

I'll also play the 9/6 JOB multi-strikes. They've been there a long time, I trust them and I've had some success on them as well.

CC,I don't blame you for not having the appetite for 8/5 JOB, when 99.69% SDB is a better option on those Game Kings, makes sense now.
You say they downgraded the Game kings? Does that mean at one point they did offer 9/6 on those new machines?

Going down to the Borgota for a few hours this afternoon. Will try a few hundred on SDB, then go to $1.00 JOB slant tops if nothing is happening. We'll see. This is my typical strategy.

Friday afternoon got down to Borgata around 1 PM. Got to the game kings with SDB and realized that I left my players card in the car. Rather than go back thru the cold garage, I just went to the players desk and got another card. On the way back to the game kings, saw there was an empty seat at the slant tops with 9/6JOB by the Amphora Lounge so grabbed it. These are sometimes hard to come by on a Frday afternoon. Put $100 in and started playing. A straight flush from a 3 card hold with one gap. Lots of small winners, then the 4 oaks started coming. Cashed out at 4PM, up $600. Good thing I forgot my card.

I'm leaving mine in the car on my next trip. Good show and WTG especially on a job game when you can hardly ever win after several hours of play unless you hit the Royal.

Congrats, sometimes timing is everything. Well and luck, and smart play, and positive thinking too.....

Yeah, the whole sequence of events starts when you first hit the deal button on your first hand. Had I sat down a second later, who knows? These older machines at the Borg do seem to be friendlier to me, so I'll stick with them for awhile. Second Friday in a row that I've had a decent win on a $1.00 JOB. Last week won even a little more. Not complaining, but if the 4 oak streaks came on SDB, now we're talkin.

Just be prepared to show proof that you actually did win, something I'm used to defending. LOL...
