Sorry to hear of your loss DB. Pets are loyal friends who only ask for love. Folks who don't have any have no clue as to the mutual attachment between man and dog/cat, etc.

Sorry for your loss DB, I once lost 2 pugs in one year. It is heartbreaking.

Wife and I lost our cat to a brain tumor in April it was the hardest thing we have gone through we think of him everyday. Think of the great times with Molly DB and it will get easier.

I've witnessed a coyote clear a 6' block wall to attack, kill and escape with a Yorkie. They no longer fear humans, and consider almost any small animal a food source.

Coyotes are extremely intelligent and versatile, adapting to almost any situation and currently one of the most disparate predators in terms of where they exist around the world.   They still fear humans, but that intelligence allows them to be a little more daring and calculating in their "strikes"....Still, Molly would be alive if I had not gone to AC.....having my dad watch her, the routine was altered enough that she was out on her poop patrol at such a late hour 8:30pm, something I myself never do.   It is my fault, at least partially.....f-ing AC.Regarding the 3 former NJ gaming employees/agents:   They confirmed that there currently is almost NO oversight or inspections of any AC casinos (whereas, up until 2009/2010, all AC casinos had a permanent on site Nj Gaming Comm presence of at least 3 to 4 agents 24/7), and has not been for almost five years, when they completed gutting the gaming comm and letting everyone go and folding the department into the state police and bureau of investigations.    One of them confirmed that, in reality, "nothing" is currently preventing any NJ casino from cheating at the moment......does not mean they are, but still its unnerving. And two of them confirmed that Video Poker is indeed just another form of slots in NJ, and regardless of what the paytable states, as long as it returns the minimum 83% it is ok.....another unnerving fact.

i think it is a mistake to blame AC, for the death of your friend. and, even bigger mistake to blame yourself. sounds to me like you were a caring pet owner.

I agree that you shouldn't be too hard on yourself. Your heart was in the right place and I'm sure your dad took good care of your dogs in your absence and could not have anticipated that this would happen.

If that's the case, we're up the creek no paddle. This calls for an extensive break after hitting a jackpot. Like four months worth. VP certainly plays like 83% for me lately, even the full pays. I am ratcheting things down. Voucher play, beach, highway.  I'll give the fine eateries some winnings before donating to 83 City.

this has been what I have reported NUMEROUS times over the years....the 99% plus machines in AC (there are a modest number of them so there is no excuse for playing crappy paytables like most of the rest in AC) continuosly yield abysmal return percentages time after time after time, indicating and suggesting that something ELSE is in the mix besides the simple assumptions on our part of:    PAYTABLE + Legit RNG = Expected return%.....I have NO DOUBT whatsoever now that this is the case, and henceforth, unless I am given free play, I will no longer be playing any Video Poker in AC (except, MAYBE, at Borgata, which is the only AC casino I have yet to see COMPLETE and convincing evidence that they set the VP machines to yield below the paytable %)
