I will simply have to dial down my max play to one or two coin play. I can do minor pot shots on my way out. If I miss a $1,000 Royal Flush, such is life. I question the wisdom of feeding neg expectation games max coin for even a quarter of a visit. Borgata I have only played once and truth be told, it seemed pretty damn good. I wish I could rest my forearms and a drink on the counter of machines, they were mostly uprights. Perhaps since they are printing money to begin with, they have no compunction to strictly abide by the 83% floor.

after 6 1/2 months of play (13 long gambling sessions), i would be net positive for the year, if it were not for my 3 trips to AC. i have cut back on my AC trips, but still go once in a while, as i see it as a mini vacation for the wife and i. plane, transportation, rooms, meals taken care of, kind of makes up for the sting of losing so many times there. it is a very rare occurence that i win there.   with that said, DB has stated many times that NJ treats VP the same as slots. not that i doubt him, but is there any verification of this? it would certainly support the returns i get, which resemble the expected returns from slots.

Take the former officials' statements however you will. It's not that I don't win, rather that I don't leave a winner. There's certainly no incentive to stay on a machine once it's gone to the dark side. When it starts freezing, do your leaving. Their cold fronts are just intractable. But you know, I've got to the give the Borgata another run for the roses. I had decent success there on a brief visit, granted. As bustling and energetic as the boardwalk. I would love a marina Royal to bookend my boardwalk Royal this winter.

Any alleged statements from "former officials" should be treated as nothing more than heresay.

If I had a dollar for everytime DaBurglar has said he was going to stop playing video poker in Atlantic City; I'd be a rich man. Yada dada dada dada, yada dada dada dum...

Each time though has included a caveat, for example: "I'll only play at Borgata." Or: "I'll only play the minimum to keep getting free hotel rooms." Or: "I'll only occasionally play in between live poker sessions fora change of pace."

Still, the title to the song remains the same: "If you think video poker in Atlantic City is screwing you, DON'T PLAY IT."

is it an indictement or just bad luck, i do not know. that is why i am interested about DB's statement that VP, is treated the same as slots in AC. during my last trip, i could have quit after 75 minutes and left a winner. i just did not expect to go the next 15 hours and get nothing.

winner. i just did not expect to go the next 15 hours and get nothing.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Notes, I could have told you that much. I don't quite know what to make of it either. But we're singing from the same blues album. My first ninety minutes I feel invincible. Everything is  swell. I'm fattening up bank roll, the rhythm is exceptionally strong. The peak of my powers. The subsequent ninety minutes is when the losing bug starts and the machines feel hacked. I then stagger away. I wouldn't even know how to feel after fifteen hours of frustration during a stay. My experiences have been numbing enough. And I am becoming a creature of habit, so breaking the routine is a hellacious order. I need to institute a standing 12:30 PM lunch date, and make it a looong one! Like until it's time to head back to civilization.  AC is a perpetual R&B visit. The first 90 minutes is R, the rest is B.

i read plenty of posts that question the machines in tunica and biloxi, as not being the same.  if you don't want to hear us complain about the VP in AC, DON'T READ OUR POSTS.

I wasn't refering to you notes and I've lost dough in Tunica but I just chalk the loss up to a loss and nothing else. I don't believe that there is something wrong with video poker in any casino I step foot into. I've been to Tunica 4 times in the last 5 years and twice I came away a winner and twice I've come away a loser.

Ignore tedlark's criticism, it is irrelevant and without merit, as well as hypocritical.  He has not been to AC at least in the last 5 years, and it is absurd for him to comment on anything related to a place he does not play at....since I pretty much only play in AC these days, obviously that is all I have to talk about.   And it is also absurd for him to criticize people for simply stating something repeatedly, since he, in turn, complains about the "complaining"......who died and made him the boss of this forum? Notes1, you are now getting a taste of what happens when anyone starts to disagree with ted and see his "Act" for what it is......you and I disagree on enough issues to know convincingly when we AGREE on something, and clearly you have the same impression of AC as I do (close enough anyway)....."Hearsay" is basically ANYTHING anyone posts on this forum!   If someone reports they win 80% of the time, well that's hearsay, unless at least one other independent witness comes along and verifies the result.........Like I said, absurd. That being said, I personally invite Tedlark to AC to see for himself what is going on......notes1 and myself can observe his play and see if indeed he can disprove our perception of AC.

ted, we all knew who you were directing your post, but, the problem is that there others who also play in AC. no harm/no foul.  if you check my post, i did not accuse AC of fixing the machines. i only stated my results and mentioned they were in line with slot results. the subject of AC treating vp the same as slots had been brought and i just wanted to know, if there was some confirmation of it. seems to me, to be a legit question.  you have a variety of options as to where to play, but, for some of us, there are few options. AC should be the mecca of the east coast, due to the number of casinos available. i had pretty much stopped going to AC, but thought i would give it another chance, after the closing of 4 properties. you will also note, that i stated maybe it was just bad luck on my part. but, i doubt it.
