Love Borgata, here for the weekend, but not happy this morning. Come down this Sunday morning to play and find to our surprise they have closed the main VP area for the day to start carpet replacement. Stuck with the few machines, mostly uncomfortable uprights scattered about, to play for the day. Borgata should do better.

Yeah, it's inconvenient. But a slow as molasses February Sunday would be a perfect replacement time. Monday-Thursday mornings would be even better, but that jeopardizes the weekday regular revenue.

Ain’t a slow weekend. Packed. Drive 4 hrs to get here. Would be nice to know in advance. Could’ve started this evening after weekend folks finish getaway day. For the locals just know this will be closed at least all week probably.

Yeah, back when I was a regular people loved their B Sundays. Obviously still strong demand in the MGM era. Weekday regs are a very strong segment. They’d rather sacrifice some getaway day action. Folks tend to go overboard on getaway day to break even anyway.

I maintain a set bankroll for each day, so no going overboard. Had to play the same upright with sticky buttons all day as the few others there were all being used and people were stacked up behind sitting and standing waiting, some said 2-3 hours, to get one. But it gave me a $1000 4 2s with an A along with some other 4OAK to manage a +$400 getaway day. Now will just have to see on my next trip there if this is just a “carpet replacement” or if the VP section, which had already been moved to a back corner of the casino, is the same or reduced further. Other than 1-2x to Vegas each year Borgata is my go-to from Virginia, with good comps, free nights, the Amphora, etc. Good luck to all in the casinos ….

Definitely worth your inconvenience. You sure sound like a high roller. They turned on the faucet for your "package." I was wondering why you made the four hour hike. I hate that back corner VP section by Angeline's also. The machines are horrific. If I don't snag a B Bar machine, I've wasted my trip. And B Bar is no great environment either. Noisy as all hell, and I prefer silent concentration.

The Ghetto was in need of a deep cleaning. This is the perfect time of year to do it.Hiker1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 8:38 amLove Borgata, here for the weekend, but not happy this morning. Just a little heads up, Amphora will be closed Tuesday, February 27 and Wednesday, February 28. Also they added single line Quick Quads to the Five Star machines right outside the high limit room. They also added 2 Five Star machines in the High Limit Room too. Did fairly well last week on them. Still can't post pic, only getting a black screen.
