Re: Feasting with FAA
Years ago, I mean like over 30 years ago, I would escape the madness and take the boat ride out at Harrahs Marina.

Twenty years ago, I used to enjoy the package deal at The Flying Cloud in Gardners Basin. You'd get a meal, a cocktail, and a ticket for an hour-long sunset boat tour of the back bay. Food was good with very generous portions but the service was very hit and miss. There was one bartender who should never have worked in such a position. I imagine she must have been family.
The last time I was down by the Basin I noticed they'd changed the name so perhaps it was sold.

The Basin is definitely well out of harm's way, and out of the way period. The best AC $4.50 you will ever spend is a jitney round trip well away from any casino. I'd like to reconnect with the Back Bay Ale House. Great menu, nice view. It's a haven where you can count your blessings and casino profits. The importance of getting the hell out of the casino has definitely been underscored. I never win in the trip's long run, resulting in a very light wallet. Trip diversification is obviously essential. You amble, knock around town, have some new experiences. It will establish a happy weekend.

No time for any such plans. My dollar play preempted by player seizing my favorite machine and winning $2,400. Lesson damn well learned. I won’t forget.

FAA, what was your lesson learned and why do you continue to gripe and complain about other players when they win?

I was at Harrahs AC a few weeks ago on a Saturday and saw every All Star Poker II machine was being played. I checked multiple times during the day. People were waiting for a machine to open. Went to Bally's and every ASPII machine was open. The video poker area was empty.

Interesting. It makes sense. Harrah’s is a desirable property; Bally’s is an afterthought amidst a rebuild. It’s frustrating not to proceed with your schedule. I prefer to cease play by 1:15 PM, hopefully a big winner, and enjoy the city. Thrown off schedule, and they hit a nice jackpot to boot. It did work out. I had a big hit and did okay on quarter in meantime. I just never left premises.

Feasted at Harrah's Joliet this morning. I had a nice 3 hour breakfast which included leaving up $825.00 in 3 hours. Yum.....
