Trump is a Dump

Post by DaBurglar »

In a different thread Roveer talks about the declining service level at Harrahs AC (and Caesars Properties in General), and how this is largely tied to cost cutting measures Caesars needs to keep pace with its burgeoning debt.   (BTW, I may have mentioned it before, but here in Massachusetts where casino gaming is NEW and companies are being vetted for applying for a license, the Mass Gaming Comm told Caesars to "go away" because of their massive corporate DEBT, which the Mass Gaming Comm thought was too risky to give a license!)Trump Taj (and Plaza) are also in this cost cutting, holding pattern, whereby they must be simply searching for a buyer and dont want to invest a single dime into any long term improvement.   They are so ridiculous at this point that it is a wonder the NJ gaming comm allows them to get away with the austerity they practice.....consider:Trump Taj has well documented structural problems and eyesores, with the building literally falling to pieces as people watch and walk amongst the rubble.   The pipes/ plumbing are compromised, and if you go into the Main Lobby bathroom you will see that they have reduced the total SOAP dispensers to two, ONE on each side of the bathroom to service the entire line of sink/faucets (there used to be EIGHT soap dispensers!!!)    I mean, c'mon!!!     There are NO towels anymore, just TWO hand dryers, the kind using the infamous "airblade" where you have to stick your hands DOWN into the air!     And just like Caesars, if you want to get a drink in Trump properties while playing slots/VP, good luck.    Plaza frequently has NO waitresses serving the slots, and the TAJ is so large there are always portions where no waitresses can be found. But it doesnt end there, as the horrible service levels extend to the check-in and out lines, and most disturbing to me, the TRUMP One Player Services has some of the LEAST friendly, least helpful staff you can imagine.....this past Thursday (May 15, 2014)   I had a question about free slot play on my account.....the  lady (who had the most miserable NON-smiling faces I ever saw) looked up my account, kinda shuffled and shook her head for a few seconds and says "Yeah well it looks like you do have some extra Slot play here.....BUT ITS ALMOST not even worth it!  Its only $10 and its only valid from 6pm to 9pm, NOT A MINUTE BEFORE or a MINUTE LATER!"        I wanted to smack the lady and say "WTF is wrong with you?"

Wow! You can't even make this stuff up! I am knocking on wood here, and for all the things I can and do say about my vp results at Mohegan Sun, my experience with all of the employees, etc., etc., has been almost 100% pssitive.

I agree, that's why we switched to the Borgata.

I agree, that's why we switched to the Borgata. well Jim, I think I am finally going to be there with ya since I am almost at high enough tier/Poker-play hours level  to earn the minimum comps at Borgata, and once I have my free rooms I will start trying their Video Poker FOR real and not just nibbling or dabbling for a few minutes at a time between Poker Action. It starts the second Weekend in June After I return from Las Vegas WSOP (I am leaving May 31 and will play in a couple early events in Vegas @ the RIO......I'm thinking of the early $1,000 buy in N/L holdem events they have from June 1 thru 10)    Jimdeuces, if you see a four-wheeled young man wearing UCONN t-shirts with a shaved head and racing around, dont be shy....just approach me and ask "Are you Burglar?"   I guarantee you we will have a good time!

Watch out! those 4 Wheelers can be really dangerous in rough terrain ( video poker country ). Wouldn't pull too many wheelies going over those rocks. Have a great time guys and come back with some jackpot stories too!!
Also if you think of it, mention the latest vp paytables for some of the games when you get back. Quite a few Mohegan players are going down there now and haven't been back. I have to assume either the paytables are pretty good, or they are just having better luck there.

If those were CET toilets, that might be the first time they were ever looked at from what I have read here lately on room conditions and other annoying problems.

Boy olds this conversation has quickly gone into the crapper. I'm guessing sanitation problems they may be experiencing in Atlantic City are not being experienced in Las Vegas NV.

Yeah, where would we be today without Thomas Crapper. Speaking of which, my wife's teacher girlfriend recently returned from a trip to China. Even in the better restaurants, the ladies restroom was just a hole in the floor. The Chinese have their own reasons for this. CET/AC are you listening?
