Re: The age of entitlement
OP is enough of a sucker in a four figure loss day. Most notably the recent -$4,500 howler!

I’m not so sure FAA is part of that crowd yet. I still remember his story some years back when he found a sandwich or sub that somebody in the casino had forgotten or discarded and how he enjoyed it. Thank goodness, nobody had booby trapped it with who knows what. In this day and age, anything’s possible.
Money wise, I have to put myself at least for the last several years into that loser category. Since every day is a gift from above, I don’t think I’m entitled anything. Well, maybe my pension I worked my butt off for for 35 years.

And then there's the story of him finding a high level player's card and may have used it, or tried to at least, to gain entry into the Diamond lounge.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 5:44 pmI’m not so sure FAA is part of that crowd yet. There is a road near my house where a 4-lane highway merges into 2-lanes over a narrow bridge. As you would expect, during rush hour this creates a traffic situation. There are constant instances of drivers in the left hand lane forcing their way into the right hand lane that goes over the bridge. Even when the line for the right hand lane is a quarter mile long, there are plenty of vehicles that will speed down the left hand lane and then try to force their way into the right hand lane. (Mostly powerful pickups driven by younger male drivers.)
It is a real issue. So one day as i approach the bridge I see that someone has placed a yard-sale type of sign on the approach to the bridge. The sign had two arrows. The wordage on the arrow pointing to the right hand lane said "Normal People". The wordage on the arrow pointing to the left hand lane said "Special People".
I laughed for weeks, even after the sign was finally removed. I guess "Special People" is a polite translation of "Entitled People."

Thanks for the laugh. And I agree with you completely about most pickup truck drivers too.

Ditto. Pickup Trucks are very prevalent here. Doesn't matter who is driving or the size of the vehicle. They all want to blow you off the road.
