Re: Veer Off Topic Thread
Just to add a little insanity to the thread……Wildman, carry some JB Water Weld in the car. It got my 98 Saturn through 369,000 miles when I plugged the radiator. When I junked it, it still looked and ran great, but was stuck for the second time in first gear due to broken shift cables, a not cheap repair.
In the photo, 4 bucks in the Dunkin App for both the coffee and the bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted bagel.

Almost as good as the daily Wendy’s 2 for $3 promo. Dunkin is slightly closer for me, though, and the coffee is definitely a notch above.

Speaking of bottled water, watch the microplastics. We tossed all of our Tupperware and are working on the best way to switch over to glass or tumblers for the water.

Turkey sausage, turkey bacon, ground turkey burgers, yech. Anything other than a good old roast turkey is trying to fit cheap sheet in where it doesn't belong.
The only thing worse is the fake meat vegitarian stuff.
I have to confess to buying a package of Impossible brand sausage on clearance once for 99c. It had been $9.99 so what could go wrong? My wife could not get past the look on the plate and the smell.
I tried one bite but it never went down.
I am a guy who can usually eat anything that doesn't eat me first.
To this day every time my glance crosses that stuff in a store my stomach does a flip.

Can’t do any of the above either. Especially ground Turkey. Love it though sliced right off the bird with homemade Longhini sausage stuffing. On the other hand, we like the fake crab meat. Just don’t show me a pic of the fish they make it from.

At least the fake crab is made from real fish, usually Pollock I believe. Not made in a test tube by a mad scientist.

What is it about imitation crab meat that makes it so compellingly tasty? The minced, deboned, washed and heated pollock. Bring on the poor man’s lobster roll.

I think the color helps too. Tricks our mind ( even though we know ) it is just fish.
