Re: Worst winter ever....
where do you live again Goo???   I apologize know you related this info in a post a long time ago, but I dont remember.....what happened this past Sunday to change your mind?
I live in a suburb of Chicago, DaB. Was a great day to watch a great Super Bowl; we received just under 2 feet of heavy, wet snow. It was beautiful for about a day, then turned ugly very quickly....sure you can relate.

Here in Wisconsin it has been a rather ho hum winter. Kinda cold at times have not had a big snow yet. Have not taken the snow blower out of the garage yet.

It was a bit cool and damp the day before the big game and had to put on long pants. Since then, its cargo shorts, short sleeved shirt, and sun screen.

It a shame the great weather we are having this week didn't occur the previous week leading up to the super bowl and during the PGA tournament.

Here in Wisconsin it has been a rather ho hum winter. Kinda cold at times have not had a big snow yet. Have not taken the snow blower out of the garage yet. This is what is truly mind boggling.....here in the regional/northeastern portion of the country, and in the great lakes region east of Illinois, the winter has been truly HORRIFIC, now approaching historic records for extreme cold (duration and TOTAL number of days) and snowfall.......but other parts of the country KNOWN for winter weather, including edog's wisconsin homeland, are experiencing a totally benign, mild or even almost non-existent WINTER (Hello DENVER, with your 70 degree weather this past week!)i SAW a map of the USA two days ago on a weather channel, and it showed the entire country enjoying VERY mild, almost late SPRING-like weather and temperatures (outside of the Northeastern portion which basically means Pennsylvania forms the WESTERN extreme, maryland the southern extreme, and extending NORTHEAST to include NY state and all of new england) .... the west coast however was drenched in continued dangerous downpours of warm rain, which in total contrast to the many years of drought they had now threatens them with a different type of calamity!can someone explain to me why this is NOT a sign that climate change (or "global warming") is now seriously screwing with our environment and weather patterns???Up to now, I have believed that mankind's continued use and abuse of the earth has indeed caused damage and impact on how weather patterns operate, but I have never bought in to the claims by environmental extremists that we are on the precipice of truly unpleasant and dangerous weather events.......I am beginning to think I can no longer in good conscience ignore the evidence.

worst part of this extended deep freeze is I have no tbeen able to get out and about and have spent more time than usual on the 'puter and stuck in this forum for lack of anything else to do......I have seen a whole slew of freebies in AC go out the window due to being unable to get down there and play/stay/eat!This sucks big time!
