More governors, mayors, and other politicians went to jail in the last 20 years or so in CT. than I can count. Imagine how many there are that didn't get caught yet or never will. The trouble is most of them come right back when they get out and either get big positions/salaries or run for something, get re elected by the idiot public and on and on. I hate to say it, but sometimes the public gets what they deserve. The 10 % or so of us who really know and care what is happening in this country are barely heard anymore and the younger set for the most part only cares what the latest goings on in Hollywood are.

Probably more than half the young kids today don't know what it's like to spend the whole day outside playing.

And for that 20 year old nitwit who performed the "wrestling move" on the 18 MONTH OLD child and killed it; there is avery special corner in Hell just for you pal...

Not only cheaters, but liars as well. If you condone what this organization has done, then that shows your lack of character as well. I wanted to make my first post back from AC last week about AC, but I see this thread has somehow been reinvigorated given the latest BS from the NFL (Not Functioning Logically)....I was born in New England.....had no choice in the matter, as none of us do, so I was stuck with the Patriots....for my first 30 years, until 1997, the PAtriots SUCKED.....they were horrible.   Then Robert Kraft, a highly successful (and ruthless) Boston Business Man bought them (actually he bought them in 1995 I think), and Bill PArcells and his then-sidekick Bill Belichick took the PAtriots to a Super Bowl in 1997 with Drew Bledsoe as QB, and they played Brett FAvre and Green Bay and lost a suprisingly competitive Super Bowl game.....then in 2001 Bledsoe got clobbered and almost dies in a game and along comes Tom Brady, and that was that......Tom Brady does not NEED to cheat.......but as we can see from his actions and personality, he does NEED to win, or to be on top, number one, numero uno, etc.   He first dated actress Bridget Moynihan (who is from the town next door to where I grew up) in 2002 and got her pregnant after his first super bowl win....then he met Gisselle.   Tom is obviously a "perfect Specimen"....he grew up in Sunny California, played sports year round and was good at whatever he played (baseball AND football mainly), and he was always "special".....clearly this is now somehow working against him.I hate cheaters like everyone else.....but let us be honest, there are cheaters, and then there are CHEATERS (or in other words, some cheating is borderline innocuous or meaningless, and some is flatout wrong and criminal, with stops in between.)   I think everyone here reading this has at somepoint "cheated" somehow, somewhere at something in their lives......but fudging an occasional tax return for $100-150 is NOT the same as reaping (and ripping) huge windfalls off illicit info or practices in some investment.......one must take into account, degree, scope and circumstances before evaluating and rendering judgement on any incident of alleged "Cheating"....I now think Tom Brady did indeed engage in something that, at the time, did not seem like it was a huge deal, but that, once the story broke given the nature of today's sensationalized media and how an entire industry is devoted to making mountains out of mole hills, Tom Realized he might have a problem and went into shutdown/denial mode hoping it would blow over.    It did not, mainly due to the fact everyone hates Tom Brady and New England because of their outrageous success and the fact they are so far ahead of everyone........it is a common situation;  when a team or a player in a sport is so far and above everyone else for so long, people all of a sudden root virulently against them......our Anerican sense of fairness and equality, and our love of underdogs means that, once a team becomes a "Super Power". people from all over the land will suddenly start HATING them!   and please note:  the success of New England the last 15 years is NOT due to any cheating, and anyone who knows and understands football KNOWS this......Tom Brady does not NEED to cheat.......but nonetheless, apparently he "Probably" did according to a 243 page report from the NFL.    243 friggin pages to say that Tom Brady "Probably" knew something beforehand about the deflated balls........unreal.     If nothing else this shows how pathetic society, the NFL and our Legal/investigative systems are that we waste so much time effort and resources to arrive at "non-conclusions".....and now the payoff:  SO WHAT??    No one on planet earth believes the Colts would have won the game if not for tom's soft balls.......basically, it is like all the old time pitchers back in the glory days of Baseball, the Whitey Fords, the Warren Spahns, the Bob Fellers, the Gaylord perry's......they all did stuff to the ball, whatever they could get away with.....it was considered part of the game, and simply put, if the umpires were sharp enough to catch it, the balls were simply exchanged....if the pitcher persisted, he might be thrown out of a game.....same in football....teams push the envelope until they get caught and then they move on and look for new ways to gain an edge..   THE REAL QUESTIONS HERE THAT NO ONE IS ASKING:  WHERE WAS THE NFL BALL INSPECTION PRIOR TO THE GAME?  WHY DID THE NFL  NOT FIND these "SOFT" BALLS??????Again, just as in a Baseball game where, if an Umpire tells Gaylord Perry to STOP touching his cap, he does......but up until that time, Gaylord Perry basically says "I will get away with this for as long as I can, until the Ump shuts me down.....IF he shuts me down."     Likewise, I think Tom probably reasoned, "hey, they check the balls before gametime (or they are supposed to anyway), so if they allow these in, GREAT! If not, no big deal, they simply toss em out and get new Balls"       Someone tell me how that is not a plausible scenario?????    ANd explain why no one is yelling at the NFL for being so incompetent on so many fronts?!?!?     Why on earth would they devote 4 months and 243 pages to this BS, and yet allowed, for YEARS it turns out, players to beat the tar out of their spouses and continue to play ball and represent the league????All that being said, I think Tom needs to sit out a couple games in the season.......I think he has grown too aloof, too much a prima donna, too much a phony pretty boy......he needs to get knocked down and reacquire an "Edge" and then really turn it on and clobber the competition, fair and square, and thus show everyone that he is without question the GREATEST QB ever.

and now the payoff:  SO WHAT??

sounds like' what difference does it make'. or, someone on the same 'team' stating on the senate floor, that a opponent did not pay taxes for the past 10 years. and, when confronted about it, the reply 'he did not win, did he.'  so, as long as your 'team' wins, so long as your 'cause' is better, as long as the end result is what should happen, heck with honesty. who cares if hands up was wrong, who cares if a video had nothing to do with 4 people being killed, who cares if the IRS actually targeted specific groups, who cares if an assault accusation at UVA was made up and who cares if a lacrosse team was falsely accused?  i guess it is ok...until the other 'team/cause' does it. the real problem is, where are our unbiased journalists? where is the profession that searched for the truth? they have all taken sides!

Darn, I hate messing with these posts by inserting facts, but here goes.

The footballs were inspected by the referee both before the Pats/Colts game and during halftime. The 'problem' was, there were TWO pressure gauges available to the ref to use. When these two gauges were independently tested, it was determined that the two gauges gave DIFFERENT readings - one higher than the other.

The referee could not recall which gauge he used at the start of the game. Hence, there was truly no comparison point of ball pressure pre-game and half time. If the ref used the 'higher reading' gauge at pre-game, and then the 'lower reading' gauge at halftime, the NFL would, as seems to be the case quite often lately, have no clue what was going on with the ball pressure.
Conversely, if the equipment manager used the 'higher reading' gauge to test the Pat's footballs before turning them over to the ref for his inspection, it's a case of simple equipment malfunction.

Also the New England equipment guy took posession of the balls for a period of time right before game time.New England's balls came up missing and were not accounted for.

When a person says something like:"well other teams cheat too" that is a weak minded arguement. A very wise man once told me that: two wrongs don't make a right.

Cheating is cheating, regardless of whether someone thinks that Tom Brady is a "perfect specimen"or not.

You know Dabuglar, I find it hard to understand your posts because they are so long winded and rambling. It seems to me that you are trying to justify the cheating that has been prevalent in the New England franchise. (multiple occasions) Thank you but that just reaffirms what I already believed about your character as mentioned in my original post.

Brady was hit with a 4 game suspension, the team was fined a million bucks and they lose their first round pick next year along with their 4th round pick in 2017, the two equipment guys got indefinite suspensions without pay and they cannot get reinstated to the team without the league's permission.
