If I were a divorce lawyer, I would so endorse the rights of any adult to marry any other consenting adult.  I'm $ure they WOULD
2 simple questions for you DaBurglar:

1) If you were GAY would you want the opportunity to marry?

2) If you are not GAY, how would gays being able to marry, bother you?I'm opposed to the fact that a person's sexuality or identity has become this giant political issue/football, when in reality it is simply a matter of private personal choice.  It does not belong front and center with issues like Health care, defense policy, the economy and the debt, the environment, etc.   it just doesn't....but the fact that this extremely vocal constituency has managed to create this huge undercurrent of ongoing "awareness" is more indicative of a total breakdown in societal morality and the general spirit of unreasonableness that is rampant today.I've never concerned myself with any person's sexual identity, nor do I care....its only an issue when such people DEMAND that I recognize that they are GAY and have certain rights.....my reply is you HAD these rights to begin with, they only became an issue when you suddenly start advertising the fact that you prefer h-mosexual sex to heterosexual sex, something that I personally find abominable.  I have that right to think that....Gays marrying bothers me because, quite simply, it is obviously not right, on natural grounds, religious grounds and common sense grounds.   That being said, I can obviously "live" with gay marriage being legal and accepted as the will of the people in general (because I do accept it on these grounds and thus, "live with it"), but I am not obligated to "like it" nor accept it on a personal level. As for any hypothetical "if I was gay" question, why don't YOU answer that yourself Ted then I will try and concoct an answer myself...... Now, before you go off the deep end making a mountain out of another mole hill, I am totally against discrimination or persecution of ANY person or group of people on the basis of any identity, religious, racial, sexual, gender or disability.   That is criminal behavior that deserves punishment.....As I have stated before, I take people one at a time, just as it should be done.....(p.s.    I know this issue is not that big a deal to you Ted, you just saw yet another opportunity to spoil another thread which could have debated something far more important......how is it you have no opinion on this guy from your own neck of the woods who saw fit to magnify himself as an even bigger A-hole than he already was?   don't tell me you voted for him??)
DaBurglar this issue is not a big deal to me because it doesn't affect me in any way, shape, or form. It doesn't matter to me at all if gays have the right to marry or do not have the right to marry. I just wish them happiness in their individual lives, as I do most people.

I did not spoil this thread as it was YOU who brought sexuality into this thread, not me. I merely posted on the thoughts that you expressed in your post. How is gay marriage against "common sense grounds"? And in some religions gay marriage is openly performed and celebrated. Just because you are a person filled with hatred for ****sexuals why don't you try walking in their shoes for a minute? As I stated before:this is a non-issue to me because it doesn't affect me or my life either way. The Blackhawks got swept in the first round of this year's NHL playoffs, big deal and so what. My life didn't change because of this either. My life wouldn't change either, if they won, big deal and so what.

I played football in college with a couple men who are gay and they hit you just as hard as a straight player would. If you got into this debate with them they wouldn't much care what you personal opinions were either because you wouldn't matter any more to them then they would to you.

Now, if a gay person played single line quarters, all bets are off.

I never stated "I hate h o m o sexuals", or that I am "filled with hatred" ..... you really are a deceitful person, this is just the latest attempt by you to insinuate or alter or inject some false narrative or idea you wish attributable to me.   either that or you REALLY do have serious reading comprehension issues...And way to go trivializing your own argument by equating the Black Hawks with Gay rights.....make sure you tell your two former gay teammates that you think their sexuality is simply a matter of Team Choice, that should go over real well......There's a HUGE difference between responding to what someone ACTUALLY says versus what YOU THINK THEY SAID (or want them to have said)

Really Webman h-o-m-o sexual gets censored.I agree, that threw me off too......I totally understand (by now) webman's desire to keep this forum (and website) as friendly as possible, but this particular section, "ANYTHING & EVERYTHING" is specifically set apart and described as being the one section where people can go to post about all things, not just Video Poker & Casinos. If I wanted to talk about the latest documentary I saw on Darwinism, or Pre-Historic Earth, why would I have to endure the word ****Sapiens ("hoe-moe" sapiens)  being sensored?     or ****genous ("hoe-moe"-genous)?But on the other hand, its not worth changing or making an exception for.....all in all this forum is a very good place to post and peruse and otherwise kill time.

DaBurglar you cannot claim to be all things anti-discriminatory and a champion of people's rights if at the same time you claim you do not have to like gay marriage because it just isn't right. Nor can you claim to be all things anti-discriminatory and a champion of people's rights if you say that you find sexual relations between two consenting (this includes same sex) partners: abominable. How would you feel if someone here spoke up and said that they find abominable the thought of people in wheelchairs having sexual relations?

How would you feel if someone here spoke up and said that they find abominable the thought of people in wheelchairs having sexual relations? How would I feel??  Spectacular, sensational and ecstatic, all at the same time!   Because, by actually asking and typing this absurd, idiotic remark, you have for once and all time proven every single thing I have I ever said about YOU to be 100% correct. You are horrible....HORRIBLE, at debating and making arguments or rational statements.....but of course, this shouldn't surprise anyone, since your obsession with me and "intense dislike" (but NOT hatred.....) is entirely IRRATIONAL.If you are somehow trying to "defend" ho-mo-sexuals, and gay rights, from my "intense crusade", you just failed utterly and miserably, and instead skewered your own credibility, humanity and alleged (i.e. "phony") good intentions. Now we all await to hear just what exactly you have against disabled individuals and why, and how on earth you could equate disability with sexual identity.   There once was a group of people in a particular nation in the 20th century who DID indeed lump people with disabilities together with ho-mo-sexuals, along with other religious and ethnic groups they found to be undesirable....can you POSSIBLY guess who I am referring to...????     unbelievable......
