Here's why I don't just mindlessly support Cops

That's precisely the point I was making....ALL cops do not warrant reverential or special treatment just because they CHOSE to be cops....that's absurd. When an exceptional person who is a police officer does something, or suffers something  truly special or exceptional then by all means, celebrate their heroism or the life that was lost, etc.   But the fact is, there are more than a few people walking the beat and policing our streets who absolutely positively should NOT be police officers, and woe to the unfortunate person who crosses paths with them.....your life will be miserable during that encounter, and possibly forfeit if you attempt to stand up for yourself in the face of the officer's egregious behavior....I do agree with the philosophy of "just submit, no matter how wrong the officer may in fact be at the time"....wait until you have endured the offense, whatever it is, and then take smart, sound appropriate steps to stand up for yourself and expose the wrongdoing, whether its in a court of law or with civilian oversight boards or Internal Affairs, etc.

Of course even my "submit" philosophy has its limits.....

Folks as a general reminder/tip/lesson on posting actual links, you need to surround your pasted information with Brackets [ ] on both ends of the pasted info with the command "Url" in the beginning set of brackets and "/Url" in the ending set of brackets

This allows readers to simply click on the red color text to read what you wish to display...

Sadly, the above reference link leads to a defunct web page so it doesn't matter here but for future posts, remember to do this.

There are too many good competent cops for the idiots to be tolerated and excused...

Anyway here is a working link to the posted story attempted previously... I had to go look it up and find it. It shows from start to finish that in this case the officers were in the right.

Actually folks; if you just highlight the link and then right click a window will pop up and you merely click where it says: "go to- whatever link you just highlighted. I not only tried it when I posted the link but again just now and it worked both times.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone who had to otherwise search for the article and/or working link.

I started watching "Live PD" - it's on Friday and Saturday nights on A&E - Really gave me a new respect for the cops. They do put their lives on the line everyday they are out there.

Really?
I find it strained and ridiculous.
To each his own. Give me a tightly produced episode of Cops.
