Re: Remember when?
I remember Robert Conrad from Hawaiian Eye with Anthony Eisley and Connie Stevens as SPAM Blake. Liked the Wild Wild West as well.

Well I think the 2 hr delay just kicked in. I think it was "Cannon"
Frank Cannon was portrayed by WILLIAM Conrad, no relation. Edited to add: William Conrad started out on radio back in the 40's, he played Marshall Matt Dillon in the radio version of Gunsmoke.

Now I am totally confused The real irony of this matter is I will have to Google it to figure out what the heck I'm talking about.

Robert Conrad was in Wild Wild West, Black Sheep Squadron, and a couple others. he also guest starred in one of my favorite episodes of Columbo.
Wild Wild West was my wife's favorite show back in the day. Columbo was in my top 10. Star Trek was number 1. Twilight Zone and Outer Limits numbers 2 and 3 which reminds me I never finsihed my Sci Fi novel I wrote in 1959. Probably won't because most of the stuff in it has come true already. Scariest movie I ever saw...The Tingler also came out in 1959.

"When a Ford and a Chevy would still last 10 years like they should" - Merle Haggard
Actually cars and trucks are better than ever with new gadgets, etc. They are just too friggin expensive. Mean wile my Ford pickup will turn 10 years old in January and shows no signs of needing to be replaced.
My first new vehicle was a 1973 F100 short bed pickup. I kept is more years than I can remember. It still had the original engine that ran great when I sold it. I think it is still on the road in upstate rural Ct. Sticker price was $ 3,450. I paid $ 2,750 for it.

We all had Science Fairs in grammar school. What did you guys and gals make? I had a dinosaur theme with all of the usual creatures, plaster of paris mountains and volcanos, and live unusual plants I found in the woods. I'm not boasting, but I did get first place with it and the prize was a bicycle lock. At 5' 8'' I was tall enought to play center on the 8th grade basketball team, but only second string though. . By the next year though, lots of guys shot up and passed me out by a mile so no basketball in high school. Only cars and girls.
