Re: SOOPER DOOPER.....Bowl time!
Look for Brady to look off the safety, and throw downfield to whoever Sherman is singled with on some sort of double move. Sherman wants to be the hero with interceptions, and will be jumping routes. Interesting point.....although I would tend to disagree with this analysis and instead look for Brady (when he does either play action or single back, under the center pass play snaps) to try and beat the other corner back (i.e. connect with whoever Richard Sherman is not covering)....Brady tends to NOT take the pre-game bait by the opposing team's best cover-corner, but on the other hand, since this is the SUPER BOWL and final game of the year and in front of a national stage, you might actually be correct MPD001 in that Brady's ego gets the best of him........OF COURSE, with Seattle's vaunted Pass rush, I foresee Brady in the SHOTGUN looking to get rid of the BALL in less than 2.5 seconds with short passes over the middle to the GRONK......I foresee the PAtriots living or dying with their ultimate, best weapon on OFFENSE, Gronkowski, because we all know the PATRIOTS will NOT be able to run the ball very much versus the seahawk front seven, and we all know that if Brady does the DROP back to pass routine more than a few times the Seattle pass rush WILL eventually nail him, the only realistic (but still POTENT) weapon or method of attack for the Patriots is short over the middle passing to Gronk and perhaps guys like Brandon Lafell or Tim Wright (the other "forgotten" tight end the Patriots have who is a starter on any other NFL team that does not have a Gronk to throw to!)Thanks for that interesting post MPD001......since you are new to posting here, I encourage you to post more! tell us your FULL formal prediction for the score and end result for the Big Game this Sunday!??!
Look for Brady to look off the safety, PUMP TO GRONKOWSKI ON A CROSSING PATTERN, and throw downfield to whoever Sherman is singled with on some sort of double move.
Score will be a function of turnovers. If the game is 'clean' - NE 20 SEA 17

Looks like the forecast for the game on Sunday will be light winds and a high of 70 degrees. With that type of weather the both qb's will probably have record setting games and my low scoring prediction will be wrong. Should be a fun game to watch.
Congrats on the rain you are getting OTABILL. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Thanks for the congrats. We don't get much rain - last year we went over 3 months without any. It's unfortunate, that it came during Super Bowl week and the PGA tournament.
The rain ends Saturday. Will be clear Sunday. Doesn't matter really as the stadium roof is open or closed depending upon the outside weather. It will be open for the game. It would have been nice weather wise if the Superbowl festivities/game and PGA tournament were next week.
10 day forecast
Then again, Seahawk fans see it as an omen.

Seattle wins 21-17. Expecting both defenses to play big. This is just a wild guess. I have no idea what the over/under is.
It's raining here in metro Phoenix. Some local broadcasters are blaming Seahawks' fans for bringing the wet stuff. Quite frankly, we can always use the rain so I have no complaints.
Wow I did not know you lived in Phoenix OTABILL....so I take it you are a Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns & Coyotes, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Arizona Wildcats fan????If you are a Cardinals fan, maybe you can explain to the rest of us football fanatics exactly HOW it is that all four teams in your NFC west Division (Seattle, San Francisco, your Cardinals and last but not least, the RAMS) all are able to field such ridiculously GOOD and dominant DEFENSIVE units?!?!?!? How did that exactly happen in such coincidental fashion?!?!? Plus, it is my considered opinion that, IF carson Palmer does NOT go down with an injury, that the Arizona CArdinals, and NOT the Seattle Seahawks, would have won both the NFC west and the NFC title........Having said all that......and having forgotten if you already made a prediction......what are you predicting for the Super Bowl????
You assume I am originally from here. Most folks are not and maintain their hometown allegiances. Go to a DBack game and half the crowd is rooting for the opposition. Same thing at a coyotes game. Except for recently, same thing at a Cardinals game. There are local bars and hangouts for fans of most NFL teams. Only Suns games seem to be overwhelmingly populated by their fans. As for the Wildcats, they are in Tucson. The ASU Sun Devils are the "local" team.
As for me, past allegiances are not always permanent. I usually root for local teams where I am currently residing. Blame it on Walter O'Malley.

New England has been caught cheating. As for Babe Ruth; beinga drunkard and hung over was not against the rules. Spin it however you like but New England cheats. Ummm noThey were fined ONCE, in 2007.........so the words "CHEATS" is totally misleading and erroneous........I would concede a HONEST-intentioned, non-partial person who was not petulantly trying EXTREMELY hard to get the last word in COULD say that the Patriots CHEATED (the SINGULAR, NON perpetual application of the word).......but to try and denigrate 15 years (and counting) of TRUE greatness is just plain dumb.....And here is the FINAL WORD on this so called "deflate gate, from no greater authority than JOE MONTANA......read the article and see what Joe's take is on football airpressure (among other issues.)http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/l ... 22537503/I rest my IRONCLAD case EDITED TO ADD: TED, if you really want to contribute something to this thread, how about an actual prediction on the game......c'mon, live a little and actually go out on a limb like the rest of us have done (and do not say something absurd like Seattle 58 patriots 0 unless you really truly believe that will be the final score.)

My prediction is Seattle way too much. New England not nearly enough. 38-10Regrettably, I must concede that it IS possible this could happen edog.......again I hope I am (and especially YOU are) 100% wrong on this, but Seattle plays the type and brand of defense that can totally dominate the game and cause a crapload of points to be yielded through turnovers and field position battles......MY hope is that somehow New England's defense can totally rattle Seattle's inconsistent-at-times offense and perhaps help Tom Brady out with excellent field position and maybe a pick 6 or something......But as I pointed out , the DEFENSES in the SUPER BOWL have such a advantage with the timeouts that Seattle can blitz every other down and not wear itself out....Tom Brady better bring his dancing shoes.....much like Peyton Manning last year!!! Peyton, however, did not dance.....

Ok, my bad....and I totally understand (and relate) to your being FROM elsewhere, and the fact that Phoenix is a "NEW" city compared to the older cities back east, so a lot of people are transplants, etc and retain their childhood allegiance. I saw this first hand the 13 years I lived in Southern California in LOS ANGELES......while I was there, I saw MORE Red Sox and Yankee fans at the Angels games than Angels fans....the Dodgers however truly had genuine fans for some reason (again blame or credit MR O'malley and the cross country appeal of the city of Brooklyn!!) I was the only Los Angeleno wearing a UCONN sweatshirt, along with my Yankee cap and Patriots Hoodie!!! EDITED TO ADD: On the gaming website BOVADA, if anyone here is residing in a state where internet gambling is legal, you can wager on the Super Bowl......the line is currently Seattle +2 on the website! That is actually a pretty good line to take in my opinion!! If people keep betting on my Patriots, that line might hit +3 by game time, and if it does, I will get on a bus several hours before game time and head for New Jersey and place a fat wager on the seahawks! That way I will be in a cant lose position.....if seattle wins the game no matter what the score, I win my fat bet.....if my Patriots pull it out (again the score will not matter in that case) I will be properly ecstatic because my beloved football team will have irrefutably established itself as THE greatest dynasty ever in the history of football with a WIN and my losing bet would be money well spent in my opinion........and of course, if I hit the jackpot and the Patriots ONLY win by one or two or even three points, and I have Seattle plus 3 points, then I would ALSO win either my bet or get my money back with a push!Wow, I feel like a winner already!

DaBurglar the New England Patriots were fined because they were cheating. As for a prediction on the outcome of the game I won't make one because I don't care who wins or loses.

The only prediction I care to make is NE will enter the game with their usual pompous swagger and partner it for this game with an appearance of being victimized. While SEA will enter the game looking like they belong in Ferguson, Mo.....
