I’ve done well with it every time, but I get in and out. Long term forget it. 👎. 100-400 a pop. Only hit it 4 times in the last year or 2. I think Wildman hits it pretty good. They had a 1 for 5 reverse split in Nov 2024. I’ll post the chart in a minute so you can see where roughly I hit it in the last 2 years.

Where I screwed up the last couple of days is not buying a little at the same time I bought my Berkshire B. My timing is never perfect. Both times I would have been in and out of SQQQ the same days I bought Berkshire. I’m watching as I mentioned AAPL and PRU as well as Ford. I’ll make sure to pick up a bit of sqqq if I buy any of those. Worse case scenario, the stocks go up and I dump sqqq for a tax loss before year end.

I been doing SDOW a bit more then SQQQ it's less volatile also SPXU. These are just day trading ETFs never do I hold over night. Them Futures traders are in control of the market. They can open it up big in the AM or down big, holding long or short as a trader is not a wise move the last month or so. I am up on the year do to these Short funds but sit by the screen and watch them like a hawk with sell stops in place.

Using the tick above 800 to enter and sell for profit on -800 tick

No over night long trades till VIX under 18 going to be awhile so all cash by 4pm close each day for now.

Or you could buy stocks/ETFs that are almost guaranteed to win, simply by holding patiently.

Instead you buy a guaranteed loser, and try to slip in and out of the guillotine.

For context, SQQQ is +64% YTD, per Morningstar. So you only needed to buy on January 2nd and hold.

Nobody mentioned it on the forum though. Last mention was by olds, who had just sold out of it on November 5th.

I'm up for the year thanks primarily to my gold miners, but I had a bad Q4 as I was betting against the Trump euphoria.

I've cleared my calendar for Monday.

Bitcoin is having a bad day, now trading below 80k. Gold (a little above 3k) hasn't opened yet.

My shopping list (in parentheses, decline % from the 52-week high):

BAK Braskem (-68%)
BORR Borr Drilling (-76%)
BTE Baytex Energy (-60%)
BTU Peabody Energy (-65%)

Those are just the Bs :geek:

I know sqqq is a long term loser, but it’s good for hit and run. The old saying, let the trend be your friend. So if I’m buying on falling knives like now, I almost pick up a bit of SQQQ. I just screwed up and was busy and forgot when I bought Berkshire B twice this week

Good luck all. If they keep degrading pay tables any more, I will be playing a lot more of this game instead. By the way, I am leaning more and more toward ETFs, but I like the in and out action with SQQQ.

Feel free to demonstrate it. We all know how "hit and run" goes when you don't have an edge:

+100
+200
+100
+200
+100
-2000 :P
