I just made a couple of new holes in my belt with the leather punch. Warren Buffett says in a market like this, there is opportunity. Proof is his track record. Another big jump for gold early on this morning. I’m taking a wait and see. I can only juggle so many falling knives.

That was a ridiculous open.

As I recall, the gold miners premarket were around +3%. At open, they instantly blasted up to +4%,and then quickly crashed to near +2%.

GDX was moving so fast, I got filled 10c above my limit request. I was luckily able to catch the high on that one, but SBSW was a painful miss. It topped just shy at 5.23, and has now retreated to below 5.10.

CEF has been a disappointment. It's a mixed gold and silver bullion fund, now managed by Sprott.

When I accumulated, it was trading at a 4 to 5% discount as I recall. In past bull markets, it would flip from discount to premium -- enhancing the returns.

But in this market, the 4% discount is holding steady, so I'm not getting any benefit from that aspect.

Gold only safe play other then short ETFs, A whole lot of people in denial that bear market in full swing.

Most looking for v bottom it's not coming any news even on tariff side the rally will be sold.

Powell going to be so far behind any cut will do nothing for 6-12 months. More drip drip lower in the mean time.

Picked a few more shares near the day low. Still being very cautious. 😬

I think you're more comfortable than I am holding cash. I worry about stuff like USD devaluation.

But most of my shopping items are well off the lows. The ones I'm hoping to buy soon in quantity are PBR.A and VGLT. I'm still debating my enthusiasm for the latter, but I know I want more of it than I have currently.

Somewhat concerned about the dollar. Hopefully well backed up. So far only got 100 of pbr-a. Almost got more today. Didn’t. Still iffy on vglt. My oldest holding goes back to 1993. AWF Still where it was 32 years ago, but I’ll take the 8 percent regular dividend. Want to add to it on further dips. Even in 2007 it held 8. At 10 now. High was 16 about 12 years ago. It’s mostly a dividend play. Pays monthly. Downside all taxable when paid.

And I'm red on a green day :ouch: .

Gold sprinted to 3500 at 5:00 am. Lot of good that did me! I can't trade until 7:00 (Eastern).

I still like what I see. It appears the buyers are in Asia. That's why gold goes up overnight, and it's also why gold bullion has been relatively strong compared to mining shares or silver.

Before the bull market ends, Americans should jump on board -- pushing up the stocks, and probably also silver. Silver is near historic lows relative to the gold price.

Americans are already on board Bitcoin. It's having a nice run this week.
