NEM reports earnings Wednesday 4/23 after-hours. Last quarter, investors inexplicably sold the earnings news, dragging down the other miners also.
Another precious metals flush this morning in New York.
But now we're back on the rebound. NEM again reported cash-gushing results. Costs remained elevated, but that's largely a non-issue with gold as strong as it is.
NEM stock is holding at +3%, so a better reaction than last Q.
Let's see what happens. It's only about 1.5%+ after-hours. I'm nervous about the Canadian election Monday. Johnny Carson is now 82% to win (Polymarket), so logically the bad news should already be factored in. On the other hand, a Pablo Picasso upset should be constructive.
Uh O! The jinx is in! . Hope not but…….As of a few minutes ago, futures are sliding down. My siblings Wealth Manager says……don’t buy anything, the market is going lower. That tells me, get ready to shop for bargains and give VP a pause to concentrate on short term or day trades.
Hope so, but here is what the so called Bank of America so called experts say……However, if I believed any of them as gospel, I would probably be broke now. We both could have doubled our portfolio today by buying Weight Watchers Stock ( bankruptcy may be imminent ), and sold when it hit 40 cents later in the day.
Hope so, but here is what the so called Bank of America so called experts say……
Can we pick one and analyze their actual arguments?
I owned Weight Watchers a decade ago when the ticker was WTW. Looks like my overall result was a small loss. I doubt they paid a dividend. After I got out, it was never again on my radar.
I don't like circling-the-drain bankruptcy trades. I think you're generally at a disadvantage to the people with insider information. If you want a lottery ticket, better options exist imo. This year I've picked up multiple companies that could conceivably go BK within a few years, or could 10x.
Agree. Tried a couple years ago. Didnt work out. Only had one home run back in the 1990s. JDSUniphase. Bought really low got out way too soon, but still a big winner. Speaking of the analysts, I may read what they say, but rarely listen to them. Most of them can’t even beat the index funds. I think I read recently that only about 1 in 20 Mutual Fund Managers actually beat the market.
