I'm getting chuckle out of the comments on the CNN poll from the Trumpets. When CNN showed Trump way behind, CNN had lousy polls. Now the CNN poll is the gold standard. LOL
FYI, and I hate to be the one to break this to you: The new CNN poll is an outlier. The FOX news poll, ironically, is more accurate.

Carcounter, check out today's ABC News poll. It is based on likely voters , not registered voters. Which gives a more accurate picture. It is 54-43 Biden.
My point is that I can offer up a poll to please any viewpoint. Just like ordering at a restaurant --- what would you like today, sir?
Still, it is going to be a scream if today Trump boasts about the CNN poll. CNN, of course, has been his #1 Fake News stooge.
TRUMP: "Fake News! Fake News! Those idiots at CNN re showing me catching up! Fake News!"

The Biden campaign will collapse after the conventions. Not saying this because I want it to happen, (although I do), but because I believe it will happen. He has hit his high water mark. All downhill after the conventions. If he debates, he loses, if he doesn't he loses. Neither he nor Harris has answered any questions. They will eventually have to. The only chance he has is if Trump does something really stupid, which of course he is capable of. Trunp will campaign in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, even Minnesota. Will Biden? If he does, what will he say?felix wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 6:42 amI'm getting chuckle out of the comments on the CNN poll from the Trumpets. When CNN showed Trump way behind, CNN had lousy polls. Yeah, I saw this poll. Oversamples Dems by only +5, not bad, usually more. National polls are meaningless. Let's see what happens, I'll admit if I'm wrong, will you?felix wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 7:37 amCarcounter, check out today's ABC News poll. It is based on likely voters , not registered voters. No problem admitting if I'm wrong. None at all. I will be here the morning of November 4 to own up and eat humble pie if I'm wrong. If the Trump people on this board, especially Notes, will do the same, then that's a nice step forward.
In terms of what will Biden say when he campaigns? It's very simple, very short and sweet. But deadly effective. "I am not Donald Trump."

wannabee,
-i have never sought a bet or wager with anyone on this site. i don't bet superbowl, series, anything other than low wagering bets in a casinos.
-you, on the other hand, have tried to get multiple folks to make a wager.
-my guess, your betting and losing has caused you significant losses and partly contributing to your lack of success, thus the double wide.
-you likely associate betting with manhood, or in your case, lack of..
-you wanted a bet, i made a counter offer. i will not negotiate.
-the only bet i am interested in is where you are banished....permanently.

i never know which poll to believe, because the questions asked can be framed in such a way, as to elicit an expected response. and, the folks being asked, can be a specific target group. also, a whole lot of folks, just don't want or have the time to answer poll questions.
i only mentioned the CNN poll, because the change in response was so abrupt, in a short time period.
i think a better indicator is observing what people are actually doing. two things we know are happening are rising gun sales including dems and folks leaving big cities. folks who have never owned a gun and now feel they need to provide their own family protection, is a big change. and, people leaving the cities, due to a variety of reasons, is a loss to dem home base...city dwellers. they are leaving out of fear, not a good sign, for the ruling party.
-if you are the party that wants more taxes, but less of it spent on citizen protection, you will lose a lot of voters.
-if you are the party that wants the country to be shut down, keep kids out of school and are too lazy to return to work, you will lose a lot of voters.
-if you are the party that wants more taxes, so it can be spent on benefits for non citizens, money for those unwilling to work, you will lose voters.
-if you are the party that defends and encourages months of civil unrest, rioting, looting, allowing anarchists to take over/destroy tax payer paid property, you will lose voters.
-if you are the party, that allows those same groups to destroy what some person or family spent a lifetime building in a business, you will lose votes.
-if you are the party the nominates a man, who has obvious mental medical problems, will not speak without a teleprompter and takes no questions from tough reporters, you will lose voters.
-if you nominate a VP, who when running for potus, tore into your nominee and only garnered less than 5% support from dems alone, you will lose some voters.
voters are fickle, there is time to go and anything can happen. but, if the virus toll continues to improve, it will get worse for biden.

Here is what I despise.
People with big mouths that are afraid to back up what they say. You name call, you insult people and when asked to back it up with anything but more empty words, you can't.
A man stands behind his words.
