I sold half my Cameco stock for a healthy gain.
CCJ Cameco has been good to me through the years. My last purchase was above 39 in March. It subsequently dropped below 37, but at that point I was buying the URNM ETF instead.

I got caught napping when CCJ tagged 62 a week ago. I would have trimmed.

Now I intend to wait for 62 again (currently 58). It's a bold strategy, let's see if pays off for me.

Many extracted resources are vulnerable to technology disruption. Olds mentioned the risks to lithium. The oil industry was disrupted by fracking. Gold could be mined from asteroids. And uranium could be replaced by thorium. I can see the potential, but thorium has been discussed for decades without much progress.

I must be the king of bold strategy with my tech portfolio. NVIDIA is the bell cow. Hope it doesn’t produce sour milk.

The mag 7 have outperformed the rest yet again. I guess I’m a combination of a 🦕 and asleep at the wheel. I never heard of Cameco. That said I had a tiny gain overall today, but it also gave me a new YTD high. Guess all of my guesses can’t be bad. Most of my friends and relatives many of whom have wealth managers are still behind the 8 ball for the year. I’m not bragging. I’m only up about 1.5 percent.

Canadian company. The CCJ ticker is an ADR.

I only have 45% of my stock exposure in Canada. Is that enough?

Green on a red day for gold. GDX rallied back to -1.25%, ending at a session high.

Other natural resource stocks were perky. I've been wanting to buy LYB LyondellBasell, but missed my opportunity as it plunged toward 53 on the open, followed by a quick recovery on the way to 55.70 at the finish.

A point to consider on fuels for nuclear fission like uranium. May be on the way out.
Nuclear fusion is coming down the road. Cleaner, safer, uses hydrogen as a fuel
Anybody know any good plays on this?

Not to my knowledge. Helion Energy is not publicly traded. Some large companies are involved in research, but not as a significant portion of their operations.

Stay away from HDBG. I hear it's a disaster.

Be careful with your HDTV. It has sharp edges.
