Can someone please explain the following to DaBurglar in a language (either verbal or pictoral) that he may understand, I'd appreciate it.   According to NFL.com the New England Patriots do garner an honorable mention but when NFL.com compiled a list of the top 6 football dynasties the Patriots didn't make the cut. most condescending, snotty, AND (as usual) unintelligent post in the last week from the resident misanthrope.    You are really a mean rotten soul Ted......"can someone please explain to Daburglar using blah blah blah...."   I mean your true colors just get brighter and brighter.....and more obvious with every post you make TOWARDS ME.I posted about the super bowl and my team......you cannot respond without adding pointless, meanspirited fluff that adds NOTHING to whatever point (??) you are trying to make.It occurred to no one obviously that since I am a patriots fan, that I might just be expressing my OPINION, huh?   I am entitled to this opinion, just like any partial sports fan always thinks their team is the best, except in my case, I happen to have overwhelming evidence that my team is the best over the last 15 years, and if 15 years is NOT enough for a dynasty, which includes 3 super bowl (i.e. "THE BIG GAME") wins with two other Super bowl losses that were razor close, and now with a sixth super bowl appearance in 14 years, THEN JUST WHAT THE HECK IS A DYNASTY???........and since the "list" Tedlark cites (which is of course simply SOMEONE else's opinion when you boil it down) was compiled BEFORE Sunday, January 18 when the Patriots won their 6th super bowl berth in 14 years, maybe now that "honorable mention" will be upgraded?????The fact is this, with a couple exceptions, everyone (not including olds) who has responded in this thread has exhibited ZERO serious football knowledge or even passion, offered nothing on any other team or any concrete info disputing My patriots (other than they lost a couple super bowls and therefore must surely STINK!)  and has instead focused their attention on simply gumming up my good time and my attempt to start a fun and entertaining discussion about the biggest single day sporting event on the calendar!Seriously you people, all you supposed "video poker players and gamblers who are supposed to be all about FUN", you are anything but......total hypocrites.Oh and here's another point to choke on, all you people who INSIST that because Video Poker and Casinos are so heavily regulated and controlled, if the NFL which is also a HUGE big dollar business with BILLIONS on the line tied to its integrity and reputation and has a vast array of rules and regulations involving all aspects of the business......if they can have something as "controversial" as underinflated balls in one of the most imprtant games of the year, then clearly there can be casinos out there cheating (even just a little.)   HA!   ANd if you read up on this whole deflated ball issue, it is the JOB of the referees to inspect balls before AND during the game.    Someone obviously dropped the BALL, pun fully intended! And New England's defense clearly squashed the COLTS' offense, which had NOTHING to do with New Englad's balls.    IF any of you think the colts lost because the patriots balls were slightly softer, then you need to watch and learn more about football.

Sorry DaBurglar, to me a sport dynasty the team needs to win the big game(s), not just get there.Or are you telling me the Buffalo Bills (4 straight super bowls) had a dynasty in the 90's?

Do NOT be "sorry", be informed and accurate:    The PAtriots WON the Super Bowl (i.e. "THE BIG GAME") in 2001, 2003 and 2004......they lost the Super bowl/big game in 2007 and 2011 by EXTREMELY close margins (meaning they almost WON.)   And now they have a unprecedented sixth shot in 14 years.....And your potshot at the poor Buffalo Bills losing four in a row is uncalled for....any football fan knows that, while not a dynasty per se, it is still an AMAZING achievement to REACH the super bowl four straight years. Most professional athletes (baseball, football especially) will tell you the REAL hard part is simply Getting to the world series  or Super Bowl and is, in and of itself a huge achievement.    Once you get to the final game/series, you are up against the other "best" team in the league and ANYTHING can happen.     But proving yourself and winning over the course of the ENTIRE season in order to GET to the series or super bowl is where the real work is done.

I have more of a problem with the referees and instant replay making bad calls at the end of games that determine who moves on in the playoffs. Who made them god? Unless there is clear and unrefutable evidence the calls should not be overturned.

Well as you probably already know that's the way it's supposed to work "clear and irrefutable evidence", I've seen some horrible calls made by the refs that were reversed just as they should have been.

You know DaBurglar, maybe Tedlark is right? You really do make up words, when did I take a pot shot at the Buffalo Bills fans, all I mention is that Buffalo went to the super bowl 4 years in a row and that's not a dynasty.

Now your telling me the 2002 Oakland Raiders where a great team, or even you're 1985 New England Patriot team who had a quarterback threw more interceptions then touchdowns 17- 12 during the season, because they made it to the super bowl?

So are you saying in your opinion Dez Bryant did not make the catch or are you implying something else?

As usual DaBurglar jumps all over people who take an opposing "opinion" than his own. If DaBurglar thinks we were all just going to agree with him regarding his distorted view about how great the New England Patriots are; he should have spent more time doing research.

As for DaBurglar also alluding that he may know more about football then the people over at NFL.com I think that's a better laugh than thinking the Pats will beat Seattle. Even if the Pats were bumpedup from an honorable mention on the list this doesn't mean they would be elevated into the top 3 much less than the top spot.

I'm actually quite used to DaBurglar jumping on me by now and its too bad that his ego can't be as easily uninflated as a football can.     Edited to add: Oops, I almost forgot about being called a misanthrope. For those of us who don't use antiquated $10.00 words on a regular basis I will pass on that a loose translation would be: hater of mankind. Because I don't hate anything, I have stated this many times in the past, I logically cannot fit the definition of misanthrope. But if there is a spot in the dictionary that is defined as: someone who has a severe distaste for people named DaBurglar, I would fit that. Go Seahawks!!!

LOL Ted and Catty that was an incomplete pass. I have more hatred for the packers than anyone on this site. But that was not a catch.

Respectfully disagree Edog. Ball was caught, controlled football move was made, first elbow hit the ground, and instant replay totally blew it. Do not know how it would have turned out after that. I am not a big Romo fan but that was possibly going to be his moment and even though Green Bay may have driven the ball down the field and scored we will now never know.
