Re: Who's to Blame, and/or who gets the credit....
DaBurglar I'm sure there are many political, business, psychological, academic, narcissistic, forums out there that you could post to other than here with just us simpletons.
Notice I didn't mention: religious?
Typical....Nothing at all to say of substance or in reply, or even in defense of your indefensible accusation! Just sling whatever the flip you want and then pretend it never happened when I totally debunk or obliterate it....
And you're absolutely correct about there being many other forums...Thousands and thousands in fact. So what? If you don't like it, there's a real easy solution..... Don't post in threads like this..... Seriously who do you think you are? You don't get to dictate anything here....
Remind yourself again which section of this forum I posted this in too....There are still many other sections left where I didn't or don't post where you can go and post whatever you want about video poker.

DaBurglar I have to dumb myself down when I reply to one of your rambling posts. I never accused you of plagiarism, I just said your post on coal mining was not original work by you and yes; the internet is a wonderful resource for information. Just be sure to say something like: "here's some information I found on the internet about coal mining." Or something like: "I read on the internet that Tom Brady will be sitting out his four game suspension for manipulating the air pressure in game balls."
Namaste.

Nope. Try again.....
Ted wants to instruct me on all future posts: "Just be sure to say something like: "here's some information I found on the internet about coal mining."
No, I think I will just continue to do what I have been doing for the last six years, and which has worked for the rest of the forum in general since inception, and that is to Post what I want, how I want and in the manner I want.
Furthermore, as respects my actual post a couple pages back which you just decided to take issue with.....
There is no issue here at all.... Go back and actually re-read the post in question on page two of this thread, where I addressed the coal industry. It is indeed all my "work" in that I am stating and summarizing my own understanding, knowledge and opinions about the subject of coal mining employment, an it represents my own conclusions based on my years of accumulated reading and understanding of the topic. ALL THE INFORMATION AND FACTS I INCORPORATED INTO MY STATEMENT/SUMMARIZATION IS COMMON, GENERAL KNOWLEDGE ON THE TOPIC OF COAL INDUSTRY EMPLOYMENT & PRACTICE. The only thing not "mine" is obviously the colorful diagram I pasted from another site, and I never claimed it was mine to begin with, as should be OBVIOUS. Furthermore, there is no requirement of any kind, anywhere that people conscientiously "cite" any and all sources when posting informal chat discussion boards. None. This is just a petulant, BS "non issue", pure and simple.
Go ask Webman if he gives so much as a bird turd whether or not I properly credited my post an its contents.....

Well getting back on target, here is something to blame, something that I have mentioned often before....
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/us-obesit ... 48031.html
Look close at the most obese states in the USA, the most obese developed nation in the world, not to mention in history. All the most obese states are red, Republican Trump voting disasters. Doesn't surprise me one bit....
The implications are obvious, and it will be distressingly laughable as the Republicans attempt to hack slash and burn health care in order to shift burden back on to individuals. Does anyone here believe the typical obese, white Trump voter knew this was coming? I doubt it...
200 billion dollar a year problem

I have been trying to figure out the reason for all the vicious anti-Trump rhetoric coming from the left and have finally settled on what I think is the main, but not only reason. They are terrified that he will be successful in ways Obama was not. Economic growth, good job creation, a health care plan that works for everyone, border security, immigration reform, you name it. If he accomplishes any or all of these, it will tarnish Obama's legacy tremendously. He is far from perfect, but is a lot more flexible than people think he is.

They are terrified that he will be successful in ways Obama was not. Economic growth, good job creation, a health care plan that works for everyone, border security, immigration reform, you name it. First, you have simply regurgitated the erroneous platitudes of every anti Obama critic since his inauguration.
The economy, which was on the brink of total collapse when Obama took office is now in stable, decent shape. Jobs have recovered, not like they were in the 1950s, but close to where they were in 2006 before the great recession. And for all the criticism of Obamacare, the fact remains many many millions now have some form of healthcare that previously had none.
But here's the rub and why the problems never get solved. The president of the USA, regardless of who he is and what party he belongs to, is just one part, or component, of a large and complex dynamic that represents the government and its ability to do anything. He in many ways is the lightning rod, the point person, but he is not even the main power or drive of domestic policy. Congress is....Nothing gets done, no money gets spent without Congress acquiescing or agreeing.
It's all perception colored with personal tastes an prejudice with Obama. I personally think he was an average president, someone who wanted to do good but was hampered by people still stuck in history, in 1963. He sucked at relating to international dynamics in today's world, but a lot of that was due to the disasters of the Bush administration before him and he not wanting to make the same mistakes.
The Democrats are just as ridiculous a the Republicans, as I have said many times previously, a party hijacked by immoral activists who somehow have made abortion rights and LGBT rights the MOST IMPORTANT issues of their party...Sick and absurd. Obama if many recall actually was at odds early on with these people in his own party, but like all presidents eventually must for the party line or risk total irrelevance.
It's not that people are afraid Trump will succeed....It's that nothing about him this far indicates he can or will, beyond his incessant twittering that he will....

One other thing....The Democrats boycotting nthe inauguration are obviously not very smart nor reasonable. A pointless petulant act that epitomizes why they are no better than the other guys, and why I don't vote. Idiots all.....
