i like your style as few regular 100%+ games exist. when palms had fpdw a guy playing 2 machines quickly and correctly (hard work for a 14 dollar an hour job without benifits) Hard work, yes, but it was worth well over $14/hr.

Very hard, very grueling, no benefits. And if you are good enough to play two machines at speed accurately you are good enought to do something else better for more money. You all probably know my sad story for getting into Pro VP, I won't bother to restate it here. Next time you're at San Francisco Bay, think of my Mom JoAnna Kneeland and my Dad Ted Kneeland. The bay is where I scattered their aches and where I suppose I'll end up as well.
I don't care where my ashes end up, but they better be ashes, otherwise my wife is in BIG trouble if I can reincarnate.

Frank, you wrote that you went 8 months without hitting a royal flush and still made a profit during those 8 months? How TF did that happen if you played for progressive royals? It doesnt seem possible.  Thanks.

Did it ever occur to you that a terrible run of royals might be offset by a wonderful run of other high paying hands?  If he said he played ONLY ROYAL PROGRESSIVES I must have forgotten.  Progressives on other hands might well be more lucrative than for royals.Probably are.Frank, I'm trying to help you out on some of these easy questions as you are probably earning money just now, or even more probably...................romancing.

I was mostly playing for progressive Straight Flushes of $750+ and four of a kinds of $75+.The Royals still contributed 2-3% to the return, but I was playing them at around a 5% edge, so not getting royals just meant slightly less profit. These particular machines had 4.5% meter-rise split as follows.RF - 1% (Reset $1000)SF - 1.5% (Reset $62.5)4K - 2%  (Reset $31.25)There were 5 banks in Lake Tahoe and we got SF plays about 5 times a week. 4K plays were real common with many occurring each day. Only twice while I was there did the Royal get high enough to be straight through.Only one bank of machines we played in Tahoe was a single Royal progressive and it had 5% MR.
Well it was a strange time that has passed in the world of VP pro-dom. For about 5 years only 10% of my income came from things where the Royal was the target meter. Those times have passed, but it was nice while it lasted.Other examples of games where you did not need to hit a Royal to be ahead were:Flush AttackRapid 5-Ways (First thing I ever played on my own)Frontier Three MeterBlue Meenies (4K rapid progressive)House Attack678 Joker Poker (Slight Edge even without RF)Mountain Bar at Harvey's (detailed in my Book)Sands Reno 3-meterETC...(The list was quite long)

games like flush attack 8 ball a slot game are "banked" games fill up certain combinations to get to bonus round i like some players would wait for tourists to get close to bonus round and play as fast as possible when bonus round arrives.
