Alright, that's a bit uncalled for Eduardo. And scorpio, calling other members "a bunch of left-brain nerds" is also inappropriate. Please everyone discuss the topic rather than each other. Thanks.

Why not turn down the free nights and play to win money and pay for a room? Problem solved. And don't use slot card, problem solved.
Why get roped in to how the casinos want you to play?
To quote someone we all know. I love this forum.

nope, not saying the manufacturers go against the regulations.i'm saying the casinos can control the payouts in a community room where all machines are linked.but, over a period, year, etc.,they average out.they just give wins, according to slot card in.
SM beat me to the punch again. If the manufacturer's game software meets the regulatory requirements it is not only honest but has to be in a form that can't be modified once it's in a machine, or affected by anything else going on inside the machine - so it's burned on a chip, and remember that the RNG is part of the game software so everything's in one place, on one chip. So there's no way for a casino to feed slot card info to the game software in a way that influences results. Those specifications are in another part of the regulations.
So if a casino wanted results to be affected by slot cards, the manufacturer's game software would have to be set up for that - rigged to change random results based on slot cards. A change like that could be spotted by regulators when the manufacturer's game code is turned over to them. They'd probably see it just by looking at the code; they'd definitely see it if they tested with slot cards and w/o slot cards.
If you accept that the manufacturers software is honest, then casinos would have to be developing and maintaining their own game software from scratch that looks and plays like the real thing. Since casinos all have their own slot rewards systems they'd all need their own custom software. They'd be paying for two sets of game software; honest software from the manufacturer and their own rigged software. If game manufacturers were making rigged software available to casinos on a "Shhh!" basis, the manufacturers would be just as liable as the casinos.

Alright, that's a bit uncalled for Eduardo.
I agree, WM. Eduardo! A little over a year ago you were a fresh-faced newbie just starting out in the real casino world, and wouldn't say "Boo!" to anyone. Now you're starting to sound like the rest of us - jaded, cynical, and whiny.
I'm so proud - keep up the good work! Hasn't he made great progress, everyone?
