Re: SOOPER DOOPER.....Bowl time!
Da Landry and Shula did not have as many regular season games back then also the playoff format was completely different back then. You might want to edit your post to include that difference. You mean back in the late sixties, you won your division then the first playoff game was for the NFL championship, then Super bowl? Yes, it would be hard to win more playoff games when the most you could play is two.Now days, if you win half your games you make the playoffs.

let me clear something up. the comment about the two adversaries doing a podcast from a bathtub had NOTHING to do with anything sexual. it was merely a reference to the news that day, about Obama doing an interview wih a young, apparently famous youtube gal, who does goofy stuff, including a scene from her bathtub, full of milk and fruitloops. i thought it was funny, guess i was wrong.
Don't mention fruit loops notes; he'll just call me gay again.
Froot Loops....Now there is a blast from the past for me. Let's see....yeah about 1962, how I met one of my first high school girlfriends...study hall...sitting next to me, but didn't really know each other...had a snack bag of froot loops from home with me....turns out she loved froot loops...and that is most of the the rest of the story...
Fruit loops reminds me of former Baltimore Oriole Mickey Tettleton who was famous for claiming eating the cereal on a daily basis was integral to his success at the plate.

So, Bill, seems to me the bowl served up the success for the plate? lol

It was pretty funny, especially when the interview gal mentioned a gift for Obama's " first wife ". We may be seeing more of these so Obama can avoid some of the pointed media questions thrown at him lately.

Here I thought this topic would just be about football. Let's keep it that way. The ongoing personal feuds aren't interesting to most people here.

Lets hope personal feuds are kept out of all topics. They are really annoying and contribute nothing to the forum.

My double entendre worked! LOL Anyways, Tettleton had a career year in 1989 which he credited to eating fruit loops. It was embraced by Oriole fans who sent him miniature boxes of Fruit Loops to sign.
Getting back on topic per Webman's request, the weather here in Arizona is expected to be perfect at game time, low 70's with no precipitation. Stadium roof should be open. I won't be within miles of the game -- may even be playing VP and bingo. LOL

OK...back to football. ABC news tonight reporting a person of interest( locker room attendant ) is being questioned regarding the deflation issue. Supposedly, will not question Brady until after the game. I watched the entire 30 minute Brady interview on youtube from the other day. ( The one with the ski hat on ). I personally thought he seemed sincere in his answers and gave the press a lot of time. Time will tell. It is just too bad that situations like this do happen. Introduce a human factor into anything and borrowing from Florida Phil again...anything can and will happen...
