videopoker.com Players Club

Post by BobDancer »

The videopoker.com Player’s Club is now in force. You earn
points by playing the free games on the site. If I play only 740,000 more dealt
hands I get a free logo polo shirt. I play about 5,000 hands a year checking
out new games so I can write about them. In only 148 more years I’ll qualify
for that shirt. I can hardly wait!Bob

Refer a few friends and you can cut that down by a lot of years. At 5,000 hands a year, I'd say you are definitely not the target for this program. There are hundreds of members who are beyond the 750,000 mark on play alone, without taking into consideration friend referrals, which is where you really start to earn points quickly. These are the people who are able to actually redeem their points for something. And of course, for much fewer points, people can try out GOLD membership for a short time without putting in their credit card, or extend an existing GOLD membership, which a lot of people have taken advantage of.If you refer friends, you get points up front, a lot of points if they go GOLD, and you also earn 50 points every time they play a session in a contest, forever, whether they are a paying member or not.Of course, we realize the rewards here aren't huge, and they are mostly for fun to reward players who do spend a lot of time in the games. Not everyone will be lucky enough to win a contest, so this gives players something else to look forward to.  This is of course in addition to the packages we already send out to our annual GOLD members when they join. Most players are free members, and the cost of a shirt is pretty high compared to the minimal ad revenue from free play.If you really want a polo, act now, as we are already running out of some sizes and they just might be gone in 148 years.

Bob, the next time that he is in Vegas, you can challenge WebMan to a VP Match for a hat. I hear that he is easy pickings..

I don't understand why you're so irritated at me Doris. If you want to discuss it, a better way is to email me privately at bobdancerlasvegas@yahoo.com rather than to post snide comments here.  However, in answer to your question, since I'm a celebrity (whether you concur or not) my gold membership is comped!  Bob

So, let me understand this, Bob. You are a 'Comped' VP.Com Gold member, who has a radio show sponsored by VP.Com, but you saw fit to start a thread complaining that you do not earn enough 'free stuff' from this site's VP.Com Players Club. Hmmm...

Absolutely I was not complaining that I don't get enough free stuff from videopoker.com. In addition to sponsoring the radio show they financed the Video Poker for Winners software that I'm associated with. Ernie Moody and Mike Fields have been very supportive of my career for more than ten years. I'm very grateful for what they have done for me. The polo shirt itself is truly of no consequence to me.  The purpose of my post was to mildly tweak them for a players club that I felt was pretty weak. And I do understand Webman's point that the club is designed for others --- not me. Bob

look this site lets players practice, play for fun many of them use the chat function while they are playing. for me i get to "test" the new games and play many high variance games without putting real money at risk. i play more live poker then vp as you and other folks whom educated the public made the vp world only with a small edge. the only edge is fpdw only 25c, dollar or $2 10/7b some slightly negative games that because of promotions make them slightly positive or progressive games that the meters move high enough to have an edge. i play more live poker as i can have a significant edge. i also write put and call options on stocks and have a large edge but need a deep stack to cover the potential swings
