Can you help me?
My wife and I are about to celebrate 50 years of married life and we would need suggestions as to how to celebrate. A cruise is absolutely out of the question. Can you help?

Congratulations on 50 years of marriage. I would plan something that in some way had something to do with when you first got married that you would both enjoy. Or if there is some place you both have always wanted to visit but have never been to, now would be the time to do it. Regardless, I hope you have a great time celebrating your 50th anniversary.

Can you help?Sir, first off congrats on actually staying married for 50 years....given that 55% of marriages now end in divorce (plus you figure another 20-25% of people STAY married even though they cannot stand each other, but divorce is not possible or palatable for whatever reason, religious, financial or otherwise), you have BEATEN the odds big time!My own parents celebrate their 50th later this year, and I am in the process of putting something together with my siblings....chattychatty made some general points about a place to START, but since you posed this question on a GAMBLING forum, I assume that you and your spouse enjoy casinos and places of that nature? If so, I suggest actually calling one of the Hotel Casinos in LAs Vegas (or your favorite destination, wherever that may be) and ask to speak to the event coordinator, or if you have a host, speak to him....and just TELL them your story, 50th anniversary, really want something nice and special (and add in any other details, like you want it low key and private.....or maybe you want something garish and a spectacle in which all onlookers and people present can enjoy and share in the moment....whatever.) Just ask and see what they have to offer in terms of deals, or packages and what not.If you live in NY State or surrounding areas, may I suggest the Turning Stone Resort and casino on the Oneida Tribal lands in central NY state? I've only been there once myself, but I have friends and family who visit much more regularly and they all enjoy the scenery, environment as well as the facilities.WHatever you choose, just make sure both you never lose focus on the fact that what is most important is that wherever you are and whatever you choose, YOU ARE STILL together.
