Happy Holidays! A soggy finish in the northeast, so be safe and dry.
Bracing for that won/loss statement from the poker deities.

Happy Holidays! A soggy finish in the northeast, so be safe and dry.
Bracing for that won/loss statement from the poker deities.Yeah I hear ya .....I have pretty much been able to accumulate and analyze my stats for 2015 (for my AC play.....my Vegas play, and anything else, is NOT included);   Since my TOTAL overall Video Poker play for 2015 was very LOW compared to any single one of the previous 7 years in AC, I found it relatively easy to approximate the actual overall rate of return (i.e. LOSS percentage, or "win" percentage for those insistent on "positive thinking") for the year 2015......and it was horrifically ....."horrific" lolWhile my total coin - in for this past year (2015) was around 25% of 2013's total, and even less of any year before 2013, my rate of return (win/loss %) was an abysmal 65%, which is an OPTIMISTIC approximation since I am positive I had a number of sessions in several AC casinos during 2015 whereby I forgot to put my card in, but in all of those untracked sessions I never won anything and instead pretty much lost as bad or worse as all the others.......65% is horrific when you consider that the vast majority (85-90% total) of my Video Poker play in AC is (and always has been) on the few 99% or better games that still exist in that city.....and the remaining 10-15% is still on games in the 95-98% range......I just don't understand it, outside of my usual theories for the reasons why AC Video poker sucks.....( NOTE:  2014 does not count as a basis of comparison since I started my reduction of VP play and focused on live POKER in early 2014....but suffice it to say I am certain 2014 was awful too, but probably not quite as awful as 2015's  65% abomination!)   From January 2015 until mid-December 2015, I stayed/played/visited AC around 10 visits, which typically averaged a duration of 4 or 5 days per visit, so I figure I spent a total of 45-50 days in AC in 2015.......in the previous 6-7 years or so before 2015, I typically went to AC at least once a month and stayed AT LEAST 5 days each time, so my yearly visits would total at least 60 days, most likely MORE than that....in 2012 I am certain of the exact number, 76 days, simply because that was my most prolific year and I somehow retained this info in exact detail....)All in all, 65% is ridiculously bad, and merely echoes what  I have said about AC since I first came here:   Its "brand" of Video poker, and its practices, simply are NOT at all like what players get in places like Vegas or RENO (or elsewhere it seems!)Hence, for this year, I have resolved to all but ELIMINATE video POKER from my play in AC, limiting it to only free play, or if there happens to be an exceptionally advantageous or attractive PROMOTION or SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCE offered by any given casino in AC (like the famous  "10X reward credit" promo at CET,  or when Trump offers 5X comp dollars, etc etc etc.)As such, I currently have plans to be in AC next week, from January 8 thru 13 for some warm up poker play leading up to Borgata's Big Tournament event happening the very end of this coming January, 2016!!     I have been playing really well as of late, especially tournament play, which is great since several AC casino poker rooms are offering/promoting very good benefits for Poker Players (especially Golden nugget, Harrahs and Ballys Poker rooms!)

lWhile my total coin - in for this past year (2015) was around 25% of 2013's total, and even less of any year before 2013, my rate of return (win/loss %) was an abysmal 65%,

Am I reading that correctly? You are calculating wins as a percentage of losses and reporting that percentage as "rate of return"?

That would certainly explain how you can report the unbelievably low return percentages that you have identified.

I think DaBurglar got this forum thread confused with the "how was your 2015" thread in a different forum. Maybe he posted Christmas and New Years wishes in that forum and just got them screwed up?

I am having trouble understanding DaBurglar's above post. He says that what he is saying here is just for his Atlantic City play and does NOT include Las Vegas or anywhere else? If so; then how can he give an accurate portrayal (guesstimate?) of his 2015 video poker play?

Also why would he also state that there may have been several times in 2015 that, while playing in Atlantic City, there were several sessions when he may have forgotten to insert his players card into the machine. Why would his forgetting to insert his players card into a machine matter to him? In the past he has pointed out that he keeps meticulous gambling records. So why wouldn't he just refer back to his copious notes on his play for those sessions when he forgot to insert his players card?

One more thing. Regarding the number of days spent in Atlantic City in 2015 vs. previous years: you claim that the number of days spent in Atlantic City in 2015 was down compared to years past but didn't you have a girlfriend in Atlantic City and that would have accounted for more days being spent in Atlantic City prior to 2015?

DaBurglar, can you clarify?
