Former Illinois 8th District Rep has to be....

Post by DaBurglar »

...the most cluelessly heartless Republican jag-off in recent memory.Joe Walsh, already one of the most inane and insipid legislators on either side of the political spectrum, lashed out at Late Night Host Jimmy Kimmel for Kimmel's on-air, heartfelt monologue about the trials and tribulations of his newborn son with a serious congenital heart condition.   The baby required open heart surgery 3 days after birth and is looking at more surgery during the next year.Kimmel took the opportunity to emphasize the need for health coverage in the USA that does NOT exclude "pre-existing" conditions, as obviously under current definitions, his son's heart problem is a typical classic example (one which, equally obvious, he was just born with and as such had NO say or responsibility in contracting, which means the humane and decent thing is to afford coverage carte blanche, no questions asked.)But leave it to the mean spirited, dimwitted Joe Walsh to totally invalidate ANY plausible argument for NOT offering universal health coverage with the following twitter outrage and subsequent "debate":https://www.popsugar.com/news/Joe-Walsh ... 6684/ampIt is fools like this guy on the conservative "right" which give the fools on the liberal "left" the motivational ammunition to foist upon society things like gay marriage, LGBT "bathroom controversy", subsidized abortion and other abominations....

2 simple questions for you DaBurglar:

1) If you were GAY would you want the opportunity to marry?

2) If you are not GAY, how would gays being able to marry, bother you?

If I were a divorce lawyer, I would so endorse the rights of any adult to marry any other consenting adult.

I'm sure we can agree there are nut jobs on the left and right. Maxine Waters, Alan Grayson and others as well on the left. Also these violent left wing "activists" that are continually showing up in places like Portland and Seattle and San Francisco and just burning stuff and destroying property. They can't even explain what they are for or against.

2 simple questions for you DaBurglar:

1) If you were GAY would you want the opportunity to marry?

2) If you are not GAY, how would gays being able to marry, bother you?I'm opposed to the fact that a person's sexuality or identity has become this giant political issue/football, when in reality it is simply a matter of private personal choice.  It does not belong front and center with issues like Health care, defense policy, the economy and the debt, the environment, etc.   it just doesn't....but the fact that this extremely vocal constituency has managed to create this huge undercurrent of ongoing "awareness" is more indicative of a total breakdown in societal morality and the general spirit of unreasonableness that is rampant today.I've never concerned myself with any person's sexual identity, nor do I care....its only an issue when such people DEMAND that I recognize that they are GAY and have certain rights.....my reply is you HAD these rights to begin with, they only became an issue when you suddenly start advertising the fact that you prefer h-mosexual sex to heterosexual sex, something that I personally find abominable.  I have that right to think that....Gays marrying bothers me because, quite simply, it is obviously not right, on natural grounds, religious grounds and common sense grounds.   That being said, I can obviously "live" with gay marriage being legal and accepted as the will of the people in general (because I do accept it on these grounds and thus, "live with it"), but I am not obligated to "like it" nor accept it on a personal level. As for any hypothetical "if I was gay" question, why don't YOU answer that yourself Ted then I will try and concoct an answer myself...... Now, before you go off the deep end making a mountain out of another mole hill, I am totally against discrimination or persecution of ANY person or group of people on the basis of any identity, religious, racial, sexual, gender or disability.   That is criminal behavior that deserves punishment.....As I have stated before, I take people one at a time, just as it should be done.....(p.s.    I know this issue is not that big a deal to you Ted, you just saw yet another opportunity to spoil another thread which could have debated something far more important......how is it you have no opinion on this guy from your own neck of the woods who saw fit to magnify himself as an even bigger A-hole than he already was?   don't tell me you voted for him??)

Is one's sexuality really a matter of choice, or is it that they were born that way?

I tend to think it's the latter.
