Re: multi line games w/feature's
Yeah, I rely on the multipliers to try and make up for the poorer pay tables and cost. For the most part they have been. when you hit a dry spell though it eats away the credits. That's why I moved today. I probably should have stuck it out to see where it took me but moving also slowed me down.

I just was wondering if there were any die hard multi players here, which variant they prefer and why they stick to them over single line. I very much prefer playing multiline versus single line. To me, it is more exciting and fun. As well, it distributes the risk associated with, say, a $10 wager, over many hands, rather than just one. Playing for a larger wager per hand obviously increases your overall coinin, and enhances any resulting players club benefits.
I do not play "gimmick" games. On our recent Laughlin - Seneca Niagara trip, I played 50 line 5c deuces wild bonus, and three, five, and ten line 25c "airport deuces" at Harrahs, and triple line 25c 8/5 bonus poker at Aquarius. At Seneca, it was five line 50c 8/5 bonus poker.

So, onemoretry what your saying is you p[lay just regular vp games. No multipliers or QQ's and the like just multiple lines. I haven't tried that but do see those machines. That's what I am thinking. When playing multi line your chances of completing 4ok's from trips etc. is better and might balance out the cost. When I play single it is usually dollar level. Multi I play 25c. but figure if I get a nice dealt hand the jackpot will still be nice. Like the other day I was fortunate to catch those deuces with the multiplier. $1200 playing 25c. If I were playing my normal dollar single line it would have been only $400 for the same hand. Would have been awesome if I had been dealt the deuces for all 3 lines. Some day maybe.

Aren't the fifty play games at Harrahs incredibly bad?
I forget the paytable but I was amazed how poor it was.
These were the ones along the river, just inside the non-smoking casino. Not sure where there are others. I usually play at the non-smoking bar. Bad game but enjoy the bartenders.

The deuces wild bonus game we play on the 50 plays is a 98.8% game. There is also a super double (or double, double) bonus game that we don't play. It's a 98.69% game. These are not great returns, but I wouldn't call them incredibly bad, either.

Thinking it over a bit more, I realize there is one of the "gimmick" games that I sometimes play. That one is Wheel Poker with QQs. We play some of that whenever we visit the South Point in Las Vegas. Even though the best return game on it is 9/6 double double, we play 9/6 JOB with its slightly lower return, but considerably less volatility.

I will have to check the pay schedules for the 25c Non-Gimmick games around here. If they can be found for the same as dollar single line I will give them a try.
Is it the extra credits needed that keep you from the Gimmick games?

Those are the ones by the River? Maybe the 1cent games are worse. I just remember thinking how bad they were.

Those are the ones by the River? Maybe the 1cent games are worse. I just remember thinking how bad they were. There are five machines that have the two games I mentioned at 5c and 10c denomination. We stick to the 5c denomination.
There are two in what I call the video poker room which is the alcove-like area in the smoking part of the casino at its eastern edge. They are tucked away, facing east, in the extreme north easterly corner of that alcove. Interestingly, I think, is the fact that right adjacent to them, facing north, is a single line machine having 9/6 JOB at both 25c and 50c denominations.
The other three are, indeed, facing the river in the non smoking casino. Two of them are side by side in the first bank of machines you encounter on your right as you enter from that video poker area of the smoking casino. They are the last two before a small gap. The third is one machine past that gap.
When we first started going to Laughlin nine years ago, we could play 9/6 JOB on 5c 50 line machines. Alas, that opportunity disappeared several years ago.
I think you're right about the 1c machines. Their paytables are, as I recall, awful.

So between the coffee shop and the gift shop?
