I am not surprised to hear of VP odds and comp downgrades at South Point. We have been dealing with this issue since 2008. I do wonder if this continues if it will affect Bob Dancer's classes? Wouldn't it be awkward to have him teach players they should play at a competitor's casino because the odds are better?

When your normal machines get downgraded and you don't notice right away...THE WORST. Always means it's time to find a new joint.

It still is a VP-friendly casino. It still has more game returning more than 99% than anywhere else. It still has free classes.
Are some machines tighter than they were before? Sure. You'll see that everywhere.
Are there still LOTS and LOTS of good machines to play? Absolutely.
If you take the position that "if it isn't the exact one particular game I like then the whole casino sucks," then I suppose this is a tragedy. If your mind is agile enough to learn a variety of games, there is still plenty of opportunity there.
The have several hundred NSU Deuces Wild games, which are slightly positive 24/7 (including the 0.3 slot club), and there are always promotions, mailers, and comps available. For the stakes most people on this forum play, this remains one of the best places to play.
