Make certain for the four cards, and then hope for a bit before pressing. I at least take triple the time of a normal hand.

First 2 hands blah but the third hand deals me 4 to the royal, well I think same ol same ol but low and behold got the Ace of spades for 48,000 nickels! I am still shocked! My best ever hit $2,400.00 unreal.  Not sure but photo's don't want to post can anyone help?

This makes 12 royals in the last 13 months, 9 of them on nickles 3 on quarters. I want to help others that seem to not be getting royals as often. I have been playing VP since 2009. I have only started to get royals more often the past 2 years. This site has been a big help in my bank roll lasting longer. For me it seems like the VP  machines act like slots. What I do is play 20 to 30 machines each time I go. I also play at least 4 games on the machines. I think a lot of people get stuck on there same  machine and same game. Using this site to learn more games can get you more hits IMO. The latest game I been playing some is bonus poker deluxe. Since the middle of December I have had 32 four of a kinds that pay 400 to 800 coins depending on your bet. I hit the machines when its slow in the casino, play 4 to 6 hands and move to the next machine. When I sit  I play about 40% JOB ....20% DW.... 20% TripleT.....10% DDB .....10% JP. and I move alot. The reason so much JOB is the pay is much better for longer play. 7 of my 12 royals came on JOB but am playing it a lot of the time. Give this a try let me know how it works for you. I have sat down played 6 hands and moved. When a machine seems dead its dead. I sit at the next machine and get dealt 5 of a kind in DW, more machines and more games works for me!

Good for you Wildman. You play almost exactly the way I do with almost the exact same results. Although very seldom do I play nickels. I prefer low volatility games and I move around a lot. If I am on a machine that is cranking out duds I do not stay there long. If I am on a machine that is cranking out enough FH's and flushes to keep me at or near even I will stick with it. If I double my money or hit a royal on a machine, perhaps I am leaving money on the table, but for me it is time to move on.

I also have benefitted from practicing on this website. Often I play a higher percentage of higher volatility games on here than I would in the casino b/c it does not cost me anything. At the casino in order of which games I play the most it would be JOB, BP, DW, BPD, and DDB.

Like you, I feel for those that are in royalless streaks or that feel that the games are rigged. Maybe they are maybe they aren't. Who knows. But if you go to the casino thinking you are going to lose you are probably going to lose. Dwelling on it only makes it worse. Moving around and switching back and forth between different games keeps it interesting and overall increases your chances of getting lucky.

My wife and I have just returned from a four day Laughlin junket.

While there, playing 50 line nickel machines, we each, within a few minutes of the other, had the unenviable experience of being dealt four to the royal, and getting exactly zero royals on the draw.

Furthermore, we stopped at Seneca Niagara on the way home, and four times in about two hours, my wife was dealt four to the royal on a 5 line 50c machine, and whiffed all 20 times.

I have no idea how many consecutive one card draws for a royal she has missed on, but I do know that my own count is 96 misses in a row. That's in the casino - if I add the 50 ones on this site I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm at 146!

At least, and unlike those unfortunate people undergoing those terrible no royal streaks, we have had our fair share of royals this year (25 between the two of us) - just not via one card draws.

WOW that is unreal I must be one of the lucky ones to hit! I was not sure if it was just me that saw so many 4 to the royals, but 50 hands and none seems not right. I Play about 40,000 hands a month and have been lucky to hit one near the 1 in 40,000. I am counting multi draw machines.  It just seems that having 4 dealt so many times you would hit more of them but the odds don't change.
