I was not sure if it was just me that saw so many 4 to the royals, but 50 hands and none seems not right
It should be right 34.12% of the time or I'm playing a machine I don't want to be playing. As for myself, I keep bad records, but I would not be surprised I've missed 100 4 to a royal draws in a row at the casino by now. I haven't converted one in over 3 years. I've hit a dealt and a 3 to a royal since at least I guess.
dealt 4 cards to the royal flush

most of the royals happen on two card pulls as the are the most frequent to overcome the odds of about 1080-1 vs 46-1 on single card pulls and the nearly 17,000 to one on 3 card draws

What are the odds to pulling a royal on a four card draw? And what about throwing all the cards away and getting a royal?

For a four card draw, it's 1 in 178365.
For a complete redraw it's 1 in 383485, assuming no potential royal cards were discarded.

I have done the four card draw to get royal a couple of times before but have yet to get the royal on complete redraw. I think I would enjoy that even more than drawing one.

I thought it would be a 1 in 47 chance for each occurrence?
Edited: Ooops - my bad. I thought you meant holding 4 cards, and drawing one.

This is a trifle off the topic of video poker, but here goes anyway.
My wife was playing bridge today. When she got home she told me about a really unusual hand she had been dealt: ace-king-queen-jack-ten-nine-eight of hearts, along with six other cards.

Same here, most recently a couple of months ago drawing to a single ace.
And, I've seen someone else do it on a complete five card redraw. But like you, I'm still waiting for one of my own.

I never pray for anything gambling related. I do pray for a safe trip home and to keep my folks safe while I'm away. As for the cards.....with my record, I just assume I'm not going to connect. I actually like to get dealt 3 to a Royal better and have connected more times that way. Haven't had a dealt one in more years than I can remember. It is most exciting though if I am playing double down stud and get dealt 4. That is good for 5k for a 5 quarter bet. I have hit two and both were in 2001 a couple of months apart on the same machine. They yanked it out the week following my second hit.
Olds, an old VP player once asked me the difference between praying in a casino, and praying in church.
I told him I didn't know.
He said in a casino, we really mean it.
Pray without ceasing works for me.
CK
PS. God's not dead

Yeah, but the chances of seeing it in play are much less than a dealt royal since you don't discard all very often.

I barely know bridge, but that had to be one the easiest bids ever. She get a grand slam?
