Holding 4 to the Royal

Post by diceman9788 »

This is the absolute truth, I haven't held 4 to the royal and hit a royal flush in 3 years. Today makes 3 years since I have hit 1, thats why I'm writing this today. I play a good bit to, I usually play 3 or 4 days a week, every week. I have hit many royals over the past 3 years, I'm in double digits, I just haven't held 4 and drew that 1 card. I know you should get it 1 out of every 47 times, and I don't know the exact amount of times I have went for it, but I know it has to be at least 200-300 times. I was just wondering if any of you have had really good luck with this or have went on such a long dryspell as well.

Also I was reading the other article about people not hitting as much lately, I have been doing terrible this whole month, makes me wonder. This is also true, I haven't hit 4 Aces in 46 machines in a row now, the whole game has me completely shaking my head right now.

Hi Diceman...

I'm going to LV tomorrow so hope to report back some good news next week.

Regarding 4 to the royal, I've been dealt that many, many times and can only think of maybe 1 time since I started playing VP that it happened. I notice that I usually get it when I get dealt 3 to the royal. The only exception (and welcomed gift) was in September when I dealt a royal on a 10-play quarter machine. who knows if that will even happen again...

where do you play vp at? If you have another casino nearby, maybe try your luck at another joint.

Keep us posted....

diceman, I was dealt four to the royal, J-A, at Greektown, Detroit on Wed., DW, single line, .50. The honorable ten showed up on the draw for a $2000 W2G. This was not the first time a 10 completed a royal for me. I haven't played DW very much lately but was trying to stretch out what was left of my last Jackson. What great timing for this season! My first Jackson netted $900 DDB .50 and $1.00 single line. Then I lost it all, calling myself a few names and hurting my feelings. I have had luck playing those two machines in the past. This has been a bumper year for me with royals and W2Gs. I know it's because of insight gained from reading posts on this site from the VP gurus that reside here. THANK YOU!vidopoker, LUCK in Vegas and we want a glowing report. If I were you, I would start playing at the same machine where you were dealt a royal, ten play in Sept. What a GREAT hit! Tks for keeping our dream alive! It's a day without a casino here because a snow storm hit last night.

Marie, I can't believe a little old snow storm would keep you from your appointed rounds.
vidopoker, I'll add my Good Luck wish.

A little snow?  How about 10" of this crap.  I've been shoveling snow all morning and it's still coming down.

Vidopoker, best of luck from a fellow golden stater. Careful on that I-15 unless you're flying out. Don't go back to try on that 10-play machine as Marie suggested, at least not now. Were you the one that posted that 10-play dealt photo on VPfree? Anyways, good luck and bring home a couple of W2-g's not a cold.

You all are making me feel bad. Sorry redleg, been there done that. I feel your pain, but I don't miss it for a minute.   On the bright side, the January thaw is coming.

redleg and faygo: It is SO beautiful out and it was a WHITEOUT for awhile. That phenomenon means one cannot see across the street or the neighbor's house! Deer were in the front and back yard. I know where there's hot chocolate w marshmallows after I shovel the porch and walk again to rev up the metabolism. Uh faygo, that Jan. thaw happens in Feb and March, remember! Where are you located? redleg.

marie, faygo & ed:

thank you for the good luck wishes. by the way, i had mentioned how i had to cancel my trip in november b/c i came down with the stomach flu. would you believe i am sick again? was at the doctor yesterday and have strep throat this time. the doctor said i was okay to go on the trip though and i am going for sure.

Ed: i know the 15 is okay b/c my neighbors left yesterday and didn't call us to report and problems. incidently, they are ALSO staying at the orleans. btw, that was not me who posted a 10-play picture. i do have a picture of the jackpot here i had the casino take but i don't know how to upload it on to this website.

Also, the 10-play dealt royal was the one at the indian casino so I can't play that machine this time. I plan on mostly playing 5-play quarter triple double bonus. it was just a rare occasion i happened to be playing 10-play. that is usually a little overy my budget when it comes to vp! going to head over to south point at some POINT to see if they have it.

thanks again to all of you and I will report back on Tuesday night.
