When you get the multiplier, why does it sometimes automatically hold a hand for you and sometimes not?  And when it does it automatically, sometimes its not the best hold. Don't like that.

I think that what you may be seeing is a difference in timing on the
multiplier between normal STP and Double STP. Some multipliers come
during the deal as in normal Super Times Pay, but some also come before
the DRAW instead of during the deal. So you may have already held your
cards (or thrown them all away) when the multiplier comes up in this
fashion. It would then feel like the cards were being drawn
immediately... because they are. But you already had your opportunity to
hold.

No.  I was playing 10-play DDB.  On one had I recall I was dealt QQA and then the multiplier came up before the last 2 cards were dealt.  The hand automatically held the suited AQ before the mulitiplier even stopped.  It showed "held" under the suited AQ. The other 9 hands showed the suited AQ.  On the initial hand, the original QQA remained (with the word "held" below the suited AQ).  Then the rest of the cards filled in automatically (on all 10 hands).  I never held the cards myself or hit the deal button to draw.
 
On another hand I was dealt 999 and the multiplier came up.  It automatically held 99 (showing the word "held" below 2 of the 9's).  The held cards were reflected in the other 9 hands.  On the original hand, all three 9's remained, but the words "held" were only shown below 2 of them.  Again, I did not hold the cards myself or hit the deal button to draw.  It did it automatically.

Webman, you were absolutely right - I went to play some more and really paid close attention (I thought I had done that before, but was very badly mistaken).  When you get the multiplier on the "draw" it seems very much like it goes into autopilot, when in fact I had "held" and "draw" and then the mulitplier came up and finished the hand as it should have.

     I have a question about the multiplier on the draw. Let's say playing DDB I'm dealt two pair, one of which is a high pair such as JJ, QQ, or KK. If I hold just the high pair rather than the 2-pair am I leaving 3 opportunities for the draw multiplier to come out instead of just one? Or, is the draw multiplier already pre-determined to come out on that draw regardless of what I've held? This brings up numerous changes in strategy if the more holes available for the draw multiplier to come out determine how often it comes out. Being that this game isn't out yet, I'm sure the rules may be sketchy at this time, but the more information you have would be helpful with strategy. Thanks in advance.

Damule, the multiplier on the draw is not affected by the number of cards you hold. It has an equal chance of appearing on each draw, just as it does on each deal.

I'm not sure I believe that. Here's the reason why: If I'm dealt a straight, flush, or full-house the multiplier has no chance of appearing on the draw due to the fact there are no slots for it to appear in. When there are no cards held after the deal there are five slots for the multiplier to appear in on the draw. I've watched it appear in any of those five slots when available. I've also witnessed (no statistics to support this though) it appear far less often in hands where there was only one card to draw vs more such as 4 to a straight or flush or two pair. I'd really like to see some printed information on this game from IGT/Action Gaming such as we did with Dreamcard before it was released in the casinos.
 
I'm certainly not doubting you on the information you have Webman, but I think this game may have some quirks to it that can greatly affect strategy.

Damule, try holding all 5 cards a bunch of times and see what happens. The multiplier will still appear on the draw over the 1st card (which is held), then move away from it over the left, before giving you a multiplied win on all 5 cards on all lines.The card slot that it appears in is simply a graphical element. It has no bearing on the outcome.

Also to clarify something I mentioned yesterday, when dealt a royal flush (win on all lines), if the multiplier is enabled on the deal (for any value) it will automatically switch to a 20x multiplier and auto-hold the win.Not all dealt royals will be multiplied, but the ones that are multiplied on the deal will all be 20x wins.
