Double Double Bonus with "SUPER" payouts

Post by damule »

Need some help figuring out a paytable return for a game I don't think I have ever seen before. It's a 3/5 play machine with denoms in dimes and quarters. You can play it like a normal video poker game with a normal crappy pay table like 7/5 or 8/5 and such for DDB,etc. But if you wager 6 coins per line you get a "Super" bonus for quads or a straight flush. The following is the pay table that I saw for double double bonus 3 play dimes with 6 credits wagered per line (total wager $1.80/deal).

RF...................4000
ST.....................700
Aces w/k..........4000
Aces no/k.........1600
2,3,4s w/k.......1600
2,3,4s no/k........800
5's thru ks..........500
FH.......................35
Flush....................25
Straight................20
3oak....................15
JOB/2pr.................5

For quarters the return on the flush went up to 40. On the 5 play games for quarters the flush may even have been at 45. I cannot find a paytable analyzer for this game. Shadow? New? any help here would be appreciated.

As you can see the paytable for dimes is the putrid 7/5. What I'm most curious of: does the extra coin wagered to activate the bonus pays increase the paytable as it should? Keep in mind, I found this game in Arizona where the regulations are not the same as in Nevada for increased return for a bonus wager.

Thanks for your help.

The easy way to handle games like this is to simply plug the paytable into a program like winpoker, WVP or whatever. If you analyze the game you will come out with 115.86%. However, since it is 6 coins you need 120% to break even. Hence, divide 115.86 by 120 and you get .9655 as the return. Note that 7/5 DDB is only .9571 so this paytable is better than the base game.

Thanks alot Shadow. I had plugged the numbers into vp genius and came up with the 115.86% for five coins and 95.71% for 7/5 DDB straight up. However, all my years of geometry, calculus, and parabolic equations clouded my mind to the point that I forget simple algebra: (.11586 x 5)/6 = .9655. Not that I would play this game for anything except simple, quick amusement I appreciate your help with this Shadow. Now, if I can only find this game in DDB 9/6 format we'd be doing ok!

Saw a bank of 3 uprights at Wild Horse Pass. Looks like a regular 3/5 play except the top of the machine has the game title as: Super 3/5 play.

Thanks. We don't usually go to Wild Horse Pass. Haven't seen it elsewhere but if we do, I'll post.
