New game: Split Card Poker
Split Card Poker
A thought provoking game where one card may "split" into another
card of the same suit and value, or one value lower or higher. This
gives the player 6 cards to make a hand. The "Split Card" appears both
on the deal and the draw and occurs roughly every 4 hands The result is
more quads, straights, flushes, straight flushes and royals as well as
new pay categories. Split Card Poker is coming to casinos soon and is now available to play for VideoPoker.com GOLD members here.

I love playing this game, and Challenges are "taken up" quickly, so it seems quite popular.

I love this game too. Can't wait for it to come to casinos.

It would be neat if on Joker Poker or Deuces Wild, that it paid for 6-of-a-kind

I love, LOVE, this game. The pauses on the draw are a bit annoying but other than that it is perfect! I can't wait to hear when it's in casinos!

Unless I'm missing something, the random split card doesn't seem to be worth the 100% premium. But I've already voiced my disdain of 5+5 games.

This game is a lot of fun to play. I've been avoiding it for some reason; guess I didn't pay enough attention to the concept.

I think a lot of the value comes in with the increase in dealt trips, flushes, and straights.
The way IGT has written up the rules on the help screen at least on the videopoker.com site, I would argue this game would be "illegal" in New Jersey as not enough info is given to calculate optimal strategy in its current state.

Anyone's thoughts on some of these...
pull off straight flush with split card
Wondering if this is the right play with 2 cracks at the straight.
Makes drawing to quads a bit easier.
High pair and flush draw better than 2 pair?
I'm cool with missing this since it's play money
Just Split Card, or Aces with flush draw?
Made 5 flushes...*shrug*
And here's a bug...I'd say this should say "2 pair"
It works right in Bonus though.

ran into the same TDB bug as you, in my case the deal was a pair of 2s with a split club Q, no difference in the payout for jacks or better or two pair and on the draw the full houses paid off correctly, one each with a 2 and a Q.
